Pro-Miers arguers attacked his character by suggesting that after Miers, he'd appoint a real loser just to "show us." Apparently the Miers supporters don't think much of his character!

Absolutely. Even King David and Moses caught some grief for their decision-making skills. But it doesn't diminish their overall contributions.

I have NO problem with people who questioned the nomination. But I have been nauseated by the personal attacks on both Ms Miers and the President. And there are a whole lot of others around here who have felt the same way.
