WASHINGTON - The federal grand jury investigating the leak of a CIA officer's identity met for three hours Wednesday with Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald and adjourned for the day without announcing any action.
Fitzgerald is known to be putting the finishing touches on a two-year criminal probe that has ensnared two senior White House aides.
After the grand jury left for the day, federal prosecutors conferred for about an hour in the grand jury area of the federal courthouse.
There was no word on whether Fitzgerald planned to make any announcement or whether the grand jury planned to meet again.

And we know this how?
All together now...can we say "Rumor & Innuendo".

Danny Gatton, (now dec'd), did an album with an instrumental called "Sky King", and you could tell by the soaring guitar sound that he was a fan.
Course I;m only speculatin', the theme of this thread. HI-YO Silver.
But that would violate the grand jury secrecy, wouldn't it?
You bet it would. I think the Justice Department should immediately investigate these massive leaks to the press purportedly from Fitzgerald's office, which I believe are ALL ILLEGAL. Also, didn't I read somewhere that Valerie Plame was the source of multiple leaks (over years) to the NYT i.e. Nicholas Kristoff?
I thought it was very appropriate that Joe Wilson gives a talk on Halloween. He's such a lying spook.
I love the way you say that! I can hardly stand it when people say "HI-HO Silver!" That's WRONG!!! It's always been, since I first heard it... and will always be... "HI-YO, not HI-HO!!!
no new leaks tonight?
Except "ensnared two White House aides". There's no indication that it did any such thing - yet, anyway.
I had the same thought. Today's events certainly seemed strange, at any rate, after two years of testimony. The media fell strangely quiet, for one thing, after a steady crescendo of indictment rumor mongering. I guess will see tomorrow.
