Speaking of Kerry and the antiwar crowd:
October 26, 2005
Senator Kerry re-fighting the 2004 election
***********************************
Concluding remark of the short article:
What this speech essentially boils down to is John Kerry's attempt to refight the 2004 election, which was largely a referendum on Iraq that he did not win.

"as another battle in the ongoing internal war between US intelligence agencies and the Bush administration."
My question is; Why after 5 years is there still an on going war?

"It would thus appear that he did have access to the names and dates in the CIA reports, which means either (a) he had unauthorized access to classified CIA documents, received 8 months after his Mission or (b) he saw them before the CIA did."
The smoke screen must continue. Can't have Wilson and Plame tried on espionage charges. Wouldn't look to good for the left. Glad I finally see an article that backs up my ravings about Iraq buying 100 tons of yellow cake from Niger back in the 80's. He had Portugal backmailed regarding cheap oil deals at that time so that they would sell him 130 tons. Brazil as these articles mention also come into play. Brazil had a deal to "re-sell" Iraq two or three fast breeder reactors back then, but the deals fell through.

I was not aware of those facts....thanks,
Someday someone is going to write a VERY BIG Book on all of this ...

The man has no concept of what honor implies. And if he did he would most likely hiss and cowar, and wrap his black cloak about his face and receed back into his dark hole.

There's a new book out by Richard Miniter titled "Disinformation" describing in detail all of the WMD we've found in Iraq.
Including 177 tons of enriched uranium.
My local little citizen's library has ordered it for me and I'm looking forward to reading it.
To: smoothsailing
Thanks for the heads up on the book. So much has been made known for so long, no one has an excuse to remain ignorant as to what Saddam's short term/long term goals where regarding all forms of WDMs. Whoops my library card is out of date!
Good excuse to renew it.

Perhaps as smoothsailing points out below, such a book is now in circulation, called Disinformation.

I left out a decimal! It's 1.77 metric tons of enriched uranium!
In any event,he had it, we found it!
OO-RAH!

"I left out a decimal! It's 1.77 metric tons of enriched uranium! In any event,he had it, we found it! OO-RAH!" ,P> I was goin going to question that number, but did not did not feel it meant much in the long run. I have noticed the "enriched uranium" term incorrectly used in the past by L/MSM and others. But yes, during the 70's Iraq obtained equipment and know how as how to enrich uranium to various levels. And France, Russia, Germany, and Italy where the key suppliers in this area. It will be interesting to read what Disinformation might add or subtract from the stuff I read in the book BULLSEYE IRAQ by Dan McKinnon/1987 Pub: Berkley.....ISBN 0-425-11259-4. Especially Chapter six titled "The French Connection". That was my first real eye openers on just how Europe and Russia built Iraq's nuclear capabilities up. The book's story line is how the Israeli Airforce planned and carried out the air raid on the Iraqi Osirik nuclear facilities on the east side of the Tigris river parallel with Salmon Pak. Quite riveting to say the least.

Tell Levin to talk to John Batchelor - he works with him at ABC. he's been on this story since the whole Wilson thing first broke.
To: Perdogg; Dog
here it is again:
"It is clear that a greater geo-political game has been afoot for some time. The fact that France had paid to have the Niger documents forged to embarrass the Bush administration is only part of the deception. The other aspect of this operation is that the CIA and ISG deliberately ignored or downplayed information provided by British intelligence and documents found in Iraq indicating that an Iraq-Africa uranium connection was a logical and reasonable conclusion, and that connection most likely involved the Congo."
