Figueroa wants Mexico to be apart and separate from U.S. immigration legislation. He just wants a free pass.
We need border security and enforcement of immigration laws particularly along our Souther border between U.S. and Mexico becauase Mexico has no border security between itself and the rest of the world. Thus, Mexico is not a reliable neighbor and it's questionable, too, whether Canada is (but by the numbers of illegal aliens in the U.S. today, it seems the worst of the problem originates from Mexico so let's be frank here as to who is responsible for what).
Immigration reform is not inherently defined as "if you're from Mexico, you don't have to be responsible for your status". Except to people like Figueroa, among others.
Who knew that having an ancestor from Spain would today be perceived as being of special status.
