You will notice that in all the posts to this thread, very few can refute the facts you cited. Just ad hominem attacks against you.
I expected more intellectual firepower from some of these FReepers. Oh well.

I seem to recall Laura Bush going public about how young boys are being forgotten. She said society has been neglegtful of them and I applaud her for that.

Excuse me, but somehow that remark struck a nerve I don't like it when anyone in W's administration resorts to PC defense.
In her defense, at least she didn't use the baking cookies defense.
Seriously though, posts like yours highlight how political correctness has infected almost everything. I doubt Laura like most FReepers too...would never view herself as PC on anything.
But she and George and a lot of FReepers too pay lip service to what has become ingrained political correctness......the left pounds away at it for 40 years and sooner or later...some sticks...even with me.
I'm guilty of qualifying everything...I loathe that.
I liked your vanity.

The First Lady recently weighed in on the faltering support for Supreme Court nominee Harriet Miers. Asked on NBCs Today show if sexism might be at the root of the criticisms of Miers legal qualifications, Mrs. Bush coyly replied, "I think thats possible." Funny, many of the people against Miers would be doing backflips if Janice Rogers Brown was the pick. I don't see how sexism or elitist-ism has anything to do with it here.
