I am Spartacus!
Bush should assign a special prosecutor to find out if any laws were broken! Two can play this game. This does gall me intensely. The hypocrisy is stunning.
Someone's been doing their research, Alia. Thanks for posting and link and reading.
Also did the CIA-critter who allegedly "leaked" the name to the VP & Scooter inform them that Plame's name/status was classified (if it was)?
IOW, even if the recipients of the classified info had clearance and need to know, the provider of the info has to id the info as classified so that the recipients can then treat the info accordingly.
Oh, it would be delicious if R-U-S-S-E-R-T somehow was the ultimate source.
Now, Tim, I'm going to put up on the screen what you said on . . .
Yup, there's been so much CYA going on in the LSM the last few days, it's starting to look like a day at the beach . . . in Victorian England.
Wow. This needs to be emailed around the cyberspace and the blogosphere.
Have you sent it to Rush as a reminder?
Except we can't remember exactly who our sources are. But we will go to jail for them nevertheless, you can be sure of that.
Are you sure it wasn't Tim Russert?
Yep. But hey, the flouncy little ruffles on the umbrellas are lovely. ; )
I noticed she was overt before I knew she was covert.
"Timmy!"
Of course that's true.
And he didn't commit a crime when he told Libby about Plame. Even if they both knew that Plame was covert no crime was committed until her name was revealed publicly to those with no clearance and no need to know.
But that Cheney got the info from Tenet and gave it to Libby, who gave it to Rove, and then both started spreading it around does not look good.
I assume that Libby also had the proper clearance.
As I understand it, the Special Prosecuter can only go after Administration officials. MSM-types could be charged, but not by the Special Prosecuter.
But I'm not sure if Wilson and Plame would be considered part of the Administration - common sense says yes, but modern law is immune to common sense.
Any question now on why Tenet was unceremoniously dumped? I said a long time ago that he was the leaker - and the
president knew it, and fired him.
Yes, and that "someone" would be Chris. :) My part was easy.
