CANCUN, Mexico - Hurricane Wilma is long gone, but those it left stranded on Mexico's Caribbean coast are tired, fed up and ready to go home after spending the better part of a week in foul-smelling shelters.

President Vicente Fox said getting the tourists home — and then getting them back again by the start of tourism's high season in December.....

Lots of conservatives still quietly vacation in Mejico and France....just like some still subscribe to the NYT, the WP and the LA Times. Old habits die hard.

Well, it's a free country and to each his own. Personally, I don't believe in feeding the hands that bite the crapola out of you. It's not like these are the only two vacation spots on God's green earth.

The Associated Press was one of the prime movers in the Blame Bush for Katrina strategy, along with many others. They hyped the damage and chaos, the death toll, the toxicity of the floodwaters shortly after the storm.

Let's look at how well the strategy worked.

Bush won't lose a single vote in the next Presidential election.

New Orleans, a Democrat stronghold, is a ghost town and no-one wants to return.

The richest half of the country doesn't want to fund reconstruction efforts in Louisiana, instead preferring to focus on Mississippi.

The Associated Press, along with all the others who tried to blame Bush for Katrina are now working overtime to deny that any of what they initially reported took place and to foster the impression that New Orleans and Louisiana are garden spots, a great place to live.

Nobody's buying that either.

I say let the Libs run their mouths all they want. It's all they're good for, and it makes controlling the House, the Senate, the Congress, the Supreme Court, and the majority of State Governorships much easier for us than if the Liberals were to discuss issues truthfully and intelligently.

I feel the Mexican government is helping here to an extent, doing the best they can," said Kevin Riley, town finance administrator for Paw Paw, Mich. "But the U.S. has done nothing. Where is our government? They are only preparing for Florida. They forgot about us."

There is so much wrong with this statement it is almost funny. I guess they did not realize that they were in another country.
