One interesting byproduct of multiculturalism: if you get enough "minorities" into a western society then most of the violence and race hatred will be between them. I always remember a little hindu girl who pointed to a picture of a venomous spitting cobra on my TV and said "it's a Muslim!". (I'm not saying this with any sense of superiority BTW: IMO that little girl had a point.)

When the schools in San Antonio were integrated--that meant that Mexicans as well as blacks were allowed to go to previously all-Anglo(white) schools, the blacks were bewildered by the Mexicans. They found that they, the blacks, had more in common with the white kids even though the Mexicansd had dark skins. The Anglo kids fround they had more in common with the Mexicans (most of them being natives spoke English fluently. An interesting development.
