Good morning to the Finest. Pippin is one of our most frequent guest contributors, and it's always a delight to open my mailbox and see another "Pippin's Thoughts", and think how best to showcase her latest words.

This is not our regular Halloween thread (don't miss that this weekend!), but with Ghost Stories being her topic it seems fitting to throw in a few Spooky graphics today ....... such as feiny's *Very Scary Mojo* below!

Lovely presentation Billie, great writing Pippin, by the way Pippin did the biscuits and custard arrive OK?

One thing struck me immediately reading the text the usage of the word handicapped where in England we would use disabled. Handicapped would be considered not very PC and is usually only used for those who are severely incapacitated normally mentally as well as physical. Just a difference in terminology. I noticed in the States when I visited in 1997 you have handicapped parking and other such things whereas we say disabled.

Hi Billie, you or Pippin have gone to a lot of trouble and I would love to read the ghost stores but the pictures are on top of the words. Is there any place I can go to read them without the pictures?

Enjoyed your "Ghost Stories" Pippin and Billie illustrated them perfectly.
Have been to Greeneville Tennessee before and it's a beautiful area, not far from Davy Crockett's birthplace.

This is something I wrote a long time ago. Could be fitting.

Am I flesh?
Or a tortured soul in a dream?
A nightmare!
A hideous nightmare!
With no beginning, no end.
Always the same.
Me, careening through a sea of darkness.
Groping for a speck of light.
Hoping for a dawn that never comes.
Fleeing the unseen creature that follows.
Unseen, but sensed.
Unheard, but felt.
But, is it...
Behind me?
or, Inside me?
Looking to escape this tired flesh?

Thanks for the nice job - both of you. Great background/side obrder Billie, I will link it to the weekend Halloween /Fall Festival thread which will also be "ghost story" intense.

Pippin, hope you are able to get to computer. What happened to your home one? I thought it was a fairly new one..

Billie, using two hands to type. Swelling a bit down.PTL for ONE THING BETTER. will take what God gives.

Great thread, and quite appropriate.

Thank you, Pippin and Miss Billie.

There's nothing that sends a chill right up my back more than a good ghost story ... )

Great thread, and very interesting. I have had a few strange, unexplainable experiences in my life....which were really weird. After my Dad died, when I was a child, there were a few times when I felt a presence in a room, not scary, just a weird feeling. Twelve years later, my brother died when he was 20, a few years later, I was driving and there was a crew of landscapers driving by me....I noticed right away that one looked like my brother and was smiling and waving to me. I waved back and it was really weird, too strange to explain. Years later, my Mom passed away. A few months after my Mom passed away, I was driving to work. Passed a car that looked just like my Mom and Step-Dad's car. And, in the passenger seat was a woman who looked just like my Mom. Again, too strange to explain. It freaked me out, having had all these strange occurrences happen to me in my life. LOL, no....I am not nuts. Several years ago, I was working at a health care center, worked with a Psychiatrist (and other Doctors). We were having lunch together one day and I decided to mention all of this to him. He told me that what happened to me is very common when you lose someone very close to you. Felt good to know that what I experienced was common :-)

I am a Christian, believe I will see my loved ones again one day. And perhaps these were all signs from my loved ones.
