The Moderator pulled this thread before because I used Frum's title and link (Are the Miers Supporters Obtuse) found here http://www.nationalreview.com/ and which was not repeated on the page with the story itself.

Yea, that's the ticket. Suit yourself if that's what you think Frum called it.

The campaign to urge the withdrawal of Harriet Miers has moved to the next level. Two new groups have stepped forward:

Frum was born in Canada. He is now a U.S. citizen and, like the rest of us, entitled to free speech, even if you don't like it. And he's entitled to do all he can to defeat Bush's crony pal Miers. Frum doesn't worry about the opinion of a no-talent ass clown like yourself.

I'm not for Miers but Frum is such a drama queen, it's hard to take him seriously.

You just can't seem to get the point can you. Frum titled this piece "Are the Miers Supporters Obtuse? as you can see for yourself here: http://www.nationalreview.com/
I think you're doing a fine job of answering Frum's question.

I'm not for Miers but Frum is such a drama queen, it's hard to take him seriously. Frum has likely cost National Review a plethora of subscriptions due to his hyenic hysteria.
But he'll spend the money of a bunch of saps on ads which won't make one bit of difference.

I'm sure he worries all the time because you choose to refer to him as a drama queen. If you don't mind, I'd like to hear what you think a drama queen is, and why you think Frum's efforts to defeat the Miers nomination makes him one in your book.

You know, every time I hear from you, I think of a rodeo cowboy that's just eased himself down on the bucking bronco. He waits for the gates to open so he can grab a hand full of the horse's mane and yell: Sink Spur!
Yes, whatever you think. If you think he has cost NR as you say "a plethora of subscriptions" then you must be right--the all knowing, all seeing, Sinkspur.

And that negates any real criticism of miers how, exactly?
Great tactics you're using. The folks at DU would be proud.

Right, from October 21st, this article is from October 24th. Your reference to the word in your pulled thread title, is your own editorial remark, not his. His position is to see her name gets withdrawn, my position is she should be given a hearing and then decide her fate in the committee vote and Senate floor vote.
There was a time in history when conservatives believed one should be judged on their judicial philosophy, that each candidate deserved a fair hearing and a fair up or down vote. She hasn't had either one, and you and David Frum, and those who think like you have abandoned that "creed", not me or the rest of the, "pro-Miers" group.
David Frum is making a case that the leftist group People For The American Way is a bunch of obtuse Conservatives, they're not. They're flat out Liberals.

So anti-Miers are elitists and pro-Miers are obtuse. Great debate.

You'd be supporting Miers if you held to the Conservative belief that all judges deserved fair up or down votes and hearings, but you're not. What you're position is, is nothing short of a Democrat filibuster.

On the contrary, reversing 4 decades of bad jurisprudence will take very uncommon levels of courage, ability, integrity, and independence.I expect Miers to be strong on courage and integrity, competant but not exceptional on ability, and somewhat lacking on independence.
All in all, 3 out of four stars.
