NEW YORK -- Immigration agents Wednesday rounded up 50 foreign-born New Yorkers who had been convicted of sex offenses, including child molestation and rape, but remained free after receiving relatively light punishments.
Twelve sex offenders were paraded before journalists as they left a federal building in Manhattan in chains, bound for detention centers where they will face deportation proceedings.
(snip) Fourteen of the people arrested were legal permanent residents of the U.S.
(snip) Most of the remaining sex offenders were in the country illegally, officials said.

after receiving relatively light punishments...
Why do ANY sex offenders receive "relatively light punishments"?
I am speechless, but know that not one person will be fired over this matter.
Because the victim wasn't a child/grandchild of a Judge, or a Congressman, or a Senator, silly.
Hey, just doing jobs that Americans don't want to do...right, Georgie??
Read the whole thing. Including a Mexican who raped his own daughter. The South American immigrant in Hudson Co. who raped his own daughter, and got her pregnant TWICE (she through both babies out the window to an air shaft, the first died, the second survived and that's how they all got busted) at least had the decency to be in this country legally. But newspaper reports said it was "unclear if he had a job", so why was he even here?. I forget if that loser is from Guatemala or Columbia, but he's not from Mexico that I remember.
And this goes on ALL THE TIME. The article says there is NO SYSTEM for reporting these crimes to the feds. Not a failed system, not an imperfect system, not a system with cracks that the crooks slip through, NO DAMN SYSTEM AT ALL.
once they have amnesty, this will all improve I'm sure.(sarcasm)
Your tax dollars at work.
"I am speechless, but know that not one person will be fired over this matter."
We better start "firing" some elected officials. It is not clear from the article that anyone else failed to do their job.
I was wondering if those might be one of those "temporary guest workers" that will go back after 6 years.
once they have amnesty, this will all improve I'm sure.(sarcasm)

Yeah, things will improve ONLY for Washington and the Mexicans. The American taxpayer and citizen GETS SCREWED in the deal, more and more. Kind of ironic we are PAYING for the destruction of our own country...
More experimentation being done on the general populace thanks to incompetent judges and politicians who are responsible for this garbage being admitted into this country.
So, does this mean if a crime is committed by a "guest worker", or illegal alien it doesn't count in the Feds crime statistics? Like those low rates reported last week? Remember 95% of the warrants for murder in LA are for illegals.

ICE PARTNERS WITH NYC PROBATION DEPARTMENT TO ARREST 50 ALIEN SEXUAL PREDATORS IN NEW YORK CITY
"Operation Predator" has netted more than 6,500 child sex predators nationwide
NEW YORK, NY--Marcy Forman, Director of Investigations, Department of Homeland Security's U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Richard Levy, First Deputy Commissioner, New York City Department of Probation announced today that ICE agents and probation officers arrested 47 criminal alien sex offenders in Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Manhattan as part of the Department of Homeland Security's "Operation Predator."
The Predators arrested today are foreign born convicted sex offenders guilty of rape, sodomy, assault with intent to cause physical injury, sexual abuse and sexual misconduct, endangering the welfare of a child, reckless endangerment, course sex conduct and possessing a sexual performance by a child. The youngest of the victims was three.
"Predators stalk and attack the most vulnerable segments of society, our children," said Forman. "Predators commit unspeakable acts that often do irreparable harm and rob the innocent of their innocence. Left on the streets predators can victimize communities time and time again. Today, we stopped these predators in their tracks, and the public safety of New York City is better off for it."
"Today's operation is part of our ongoing effort to make sure that New York City remains the safest big city in America," said First Deputy Commissioner Richard Levy. "We look forward to working with ICE on future operations and we will work to keep future sex offenders off the probation rolls." Several of those arrested today include foreign nationals convicted of heinous child sex crimes who remained on the streets on probation. Case examples include:
* A 36-year-old Honduran man in New York City who was previously charged with 13 counts of rape in the 3rd degree and endangering the welfare of a child. He was convicted of rape in the 3rd degree and sentenced to 10 years probation. The victim was 14-years-old at the time of the abuse, which occurred over a three-year period.
* A 37-year-old Dominican female in New York City who has been convicted of sexual abuse in the 1st degree. The victim was a five-year-old. The perpetrator was sentenced to 10-years probation.
* A Mexican man in New York City who was previously charged with attempted sodomy in the 3rd degree, forcible touching, sexual abuse 2nd, sexual abuse 3rd, & endangering the welfare of a child and convicted of Sexual Abuse 2nd. The victim was a 4-year-old girl at the time of crime while the predator was 50-years-old.
* A Mexican man in New York City who was previously charged with incest, 3 counts of sexual misconduct, rape 3rd degree, and endangering the welfare of a child. The man was convicted of Rape 3rd degree and sentenced to ten-years probation. The victim was his 13-year-old daughter.
* A man from Trinidad in New York City who was previously charged with four counts of sodomy 1st degree, two counts endangering the welfare of a child, and four counts sexual abuse 1st degree. The predator was convicted of Sexual Abuse 1st degree and act in a manner injurious to a child and sentenced to 6-months incarceration and 5 years probation. The 20-year-old man abused his two nieces aged three and four while babysitting them.
Today's arrests included citizens of the following countries: Barbados, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Ghana, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Peru, Trinidad, and the Ukraine.
Thirty-six of the aliens were in the country illegally and fourteen were legal permanent residents. All predators have been placed into removal proceedings and transported to various detention facilities. Those predators already with final orders of removal will be deported from the country shortly and the remaining predators will have their cases heard before an immigration judge.
Director Forman thanked the special agents and officers from the New York ICE office from ICE's Office of Detention and Removal, the Federal Protective Service and the New York City Department of Probation for their investigations, which culminated in today's arrests.
ICE's Operation Predator protects children by investigating and presenting for prosecution pedophiles, Internet predators, human traffickers, international sex tourists and other predatory criminals. Since Operation Predator was launched on July 9, 2003, ICE agents have arrested nearly 6,500 child predators and sex offenders nationwide and removed more than 3,100 criminal alien predators.
ICE has a toll-free number for the public to provide leads to its enforcement team on any violations, including tips about child pornography, child sex offenders and others preying on children. The toll-free number (1- 866-DHS-2ICE) is monitored 24 hours a day by officers at the ICE Law Enforcement Support Center. For more information on Operation Predator, please visit the ICE website at www.ice.gov.
ICE ice baby!
Good Question !!
The article says there is NO SYSTEM for reporting these crimes to the feds. Not a failed system, not an imperfect system, not a system with cracks that the crooks slip through, NO DAMN SYSTEM AT ALL.
So how will the feds track any criminal "guest-workers??"
I'm sure the buzz on the international grapevine is that the U.S. welcomes criminals and sex predators. Why, they're even politely called "visitors."
