The British generally call Arabs Asians.
Asians:
Arabs, Turks, Iranians, and Kurdswho are more usually designated Middle or Near Easterners. Indonesians and Filipinos are properly termed Asian, since their island groups are considered part of the Asian continent, but not the Melanesians, Micronesians, and Polynesians of the central and southern Pacific, who are now often referred to collectively as Pacific Islanders.

As is common in Britain, would 'South Asian' mean Pakistani? South Asian usually means Pakistani or Indian. Chinese and Thais, for example, are Orientals.

Sounds like the Brits need to be handing out a few one-way tickets.

"Sounds like the Brits need to be handing out a few one-way tickets."
Generally, members of the Afro-Carribean community in Birmingham will be second or third generation British. Where do you suggest we deport them to?

...a week of racial tension over the rape of a black teenage girl... Yep, no similarity there. What could possibly have brought TAWANA BRAWLEY's name into this scenario??

Khalid Mahmood, the lawmaker who represents the area in the Houses of Parliament, denied that the unrest amounted to a race riot So true; so true.
It was a cheesy anti-mooselimb riot, designed and to find and dis-limb the mooses who bit the "sister".

The riot was certainly not a rumor. And unfortunately, rape of a non-Muslim by Muslim youth packs is a pretty common occurrence in areas with a large Muslim population (Australia, France, etc.).

The riot was not a rumour, no, I have friends living fairly close by, so can certainly confirm that. But no rape has been reported and police have no evidence of any having occured.

That's what the British get for placing diversity and PC at the front of their social agenda. That's what the British get for tolerating and promoting pornography. The Spice Must Flow ...

Yep, no similarity there. What could possibly have brought TAWANA BRAWLEY's name into this scenario?? Does the fact that Brawley is not the subject here escape you? We're not even talking about the same nation, for crying out loud. On top of that, we don't have all of the information here.

......a week of racial tension over the rape of a black teenage girl...What part of that can't you see? This may or may not have relevance, (hopefully it does not) but the above sentence triggers the memory of her story.

The amount awarded was drastically reduced to around $20,000; last I heard even that was still being appealed.
