Burning Taliban
Euphoric Reality ^ | 10/22/05 | Redhead Infidel

If this situation goes any further at all, I feel a war comin' on (Pantano style)...

Report Of U.S. Burning Bodies Investigated

The U.S. military said such abuse would be "repugnant," and the State Department said U.S. embassies around the world have been told to counter a potential backlash by telling local governments that the alleged actions do not reflect American values.

The Australian photojournalist, Stephen Dupont, who shot the video footage that is now being splashed around the globe as 'evidence' of American atrocities, has been VERY clear that the burning of the bodies was done for hygiene purposes, and not as a deliberate atrocity. He goes on to add that psy-ops then saw an opportunity to send a message to the Taliban to try and "smoke them out" and provoke them to fight the Airborne troops. Dupont's account is very different from what ended up as the SBS Dateline segment. Anti-US activist/journalist John Martinkus' report is highly skewed. Here's an excerpt of Martinkus' Dateline report:

"At the top of the hills above the village the soldiers have taken the tactics of psychological warfare to a grotesque and disturbing extreme. US soldiers have set fire to the bodies of the two Taliban killed the night before. The burning of the corpses and the fact that they've been laid out facing Mecca is a deliberate desecration of Muslim beliefs."

What follows at Euphoric Reality: video footage as recorded by the Australian camera crew, photos, video of interview with Stephen Dupont, links to audio clips, video of the Muslim spin, transcripts, compilation of current headlines on the subject, round-up of bloggers opinions (with links), etc. All wrapped up in scathing commentary.

If he had any clue about the MSM he would have known that no matter what he said, his video footage was going to be used to make american servicemen look bad. At some point there is nothing wrong with the military telling journalists, "you may not film this."

Please keep in mind that MSNBC, SBS, and other news companies have removed this video for sensitivity reasons. BKP remains a source of uncensored new information. BKP beat Drudge, CNN, MSNBC, FOX, and any other blog to this story.

hmmmmmmm, but more importantly what direction were the bodies of the americans burned by muslims in bagdad facing? and per chance does anyone know what direction they were facing when they were strung up on that bridge? excellent job to the americans who know how to play this game, ie the special forces guys with matches, if thats what it takes. besides last time i checked, dead people dont know they are being burned.

I don't care why these bodies were burned. These few soldiers should have known better, especially with a journalist roaming about. This film will be exploited by insurgents, Al Qaeda, Ted Kennedy and the MSM to make all of our soldiers look bad.

Personally, I think they should haev filmed these soldiiers sprinkling a bag of pork rinds on these bodies while they burned just to show other terrorists what they can look forward to if they want to attack US troops.

My only regret is they were not burned after being splashed with the blood of pigs.

Agreed.
My only gripe is that they didn't burn them while they were still alive. Where is the muslim outrage over all the beheadings of innocents the past few years? Remember the "sawing off of heads?" That was just beyond horrifying. Until I see genuine sorrow for those actions, my apathy for the burning of their sorry corpses will continue. They deserve worse.

Here is an supportive comment on "Euphoric Reality" from an apparent muslim...

Now to counter that crap, here’s a response to the above propaganda from a man named Ahmed:

"The Taleban and their allies are quite happy to murder imans, to blow up mosques, and to car-bomb “fellow” muslims."

"Yet when one fraction of their irreligousness and brutality is returned, they and their supporters yelp like beaten dogs."

"No wonder that Islamism has brought into disrepute. It is the refuge of the weak, the cowardly and unmanly. The Taleban are only brave when they are murdering old men or beating women."

What enrages me is that just this morning I posted an article on a US civilian (contractor) being burned alive by a mob in Iraq. Burned ALIVE. Kids fed the flames with straw as the guy was screaming. Absolutely NO OUTRAGE here from the MSM. Zip. Nothing. Some asshat DUmmie event went so far to say "Oh well, these things happen".

We need to figure a way to liquify the bodies of the dead Taliban and burn them in our diesel engines.

Real Biodiesel that helps cleanse the environment.

Wow, even Time did not try to spin it that bad!

"There simply wasn't enough room on the rocky hilltop above Gonbaz village in southern Afghanistan for the U.S. platoon and the corpses of the two Taliban fighters. The Taliban men had been killed in a firefight 24 hours earlier, and in the 90 degree heat, their bodies had become an unbearable presence, soldiers who were present have told TIME."

A statement from the U.S. military command for Afghanistan said, "Under no circumstances does U.S. Central Command condone the desecration, abuse or inappropriate treatment of enemy combatants."

Weenies. Pray for Lt. Nelson. :-(

Actually I heard an interview with him yesterday. He said that he figured nothing bad was going on because he wasn't told not to film it.

It wouldn't have mattered bcause even if he only wrote about the TSM would still gleefully turn it into an anti-America, hate America, America bad hit piece. The solution? Make the journalists in the field follow the old WWII rules, ALL of THEM.

We should not allow foreign Journalist to be embedded with American Troops. Hate plays just as well abroad in the MSM as as it does in the US.
