There has been a lot of outrage in the media concerning the burning of a couple of dead, Taliban fighters in Afghanistan in early October.
Yet, the Australian journalist who videotaped the proceedings, Stephen Dupont, stated in an interview on National Public Radio yesterday that he believed the bodies were burned purely for reasons of hygiene when the local villagers refused to retrieve them, and that the American soldiers didn't do anything wrong.

Once again the MSM has made much ado about nothing.

Yeah. Wonder how much MSM play this version will get. They've already got their anti war/US spin out in full so they really could care less about the truth coming out later, and in silence.

As usual, a quiet correction of a huge MSM piece of disinformation will not even be read or heard by the vast majority of people around the world who now only know the false story. Indeed, the false story will continue to make its way to millions as propagandists for Islamo-fascism and for Euro-weenies, US leftists, etc. continue to flog the false story forever.

How do you fight a war these days with the kind of shit the President and DOD has to put up with?
To: freedom4me
OK, wasn't there an episode of "Over There" with the same storyline?

"How do you fight a war these days ..."You don't, if the Left and the Enemy have their way. That is the major objective of the misuse of the First Amendment - To undermine from within and destroy our will.

Imagine that.
Dead bodies BLOT then SMELL, what the fxck? I would have burned them too.
To: Mo1
To be honest I'm not sure which one had the "initial" story. But, It wouldn't surprise me in the least if it was Time Mag.

What bothers me most is that the DOD is investigating this, like its some crime or something. They burned some dead bodies, who gives a sh!t.

Been watching the Spanish version of CNN here in Panama for the past few months. There is very little reporting on the war in Iraq, but this story is being shown almost everyday. Too many people in the world want to believe the worst about our military and the MSM helps them with their biased reporting.
I think this reporter shot himself in the foot as far as ever working with American troops again. Our guys have always distrusted them and once they violate that trust they are done.

Thats odd. On Special Report W/ Brit Hume they showed this guy saying on a BBC interview he thought this was done to "antagonize" and "smoke out" members of the Taliban. And now a total 180. He must of gotten the Kevin Sites treatment. A hostile inbox
