We are suppose to be in Florida on Wednesday for the Ft. Lauderale boat show. How does the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area figure into Wilma?

What authority does the NHC have to issue storm advisories for
foreign countries? Some treaty? Don't Mexico, Jamaica, Cuba and Bermuda have their own government hurricane centers
I find it funny that America's hurricane agency would issue watches and warnings for FR's supposedly sworn enemy, Cuba.

Thanks so much NautiNurse for your hurricane threads and the very useful links.
To all that gave me advice and Collier County links for my Dad in Naples. He didn't leave the area, but as of today he's on the 3rd floor of a pet friendly hotel outside of the storm surge zone for up to a cat 3 hurricane. He may still have a memorable 1st hurricane experience, but I'm so relieved he's out of his coastal one-story home. I feel so helpless here in MI.
Thanks again everyone.
Prayers for all in the storm path and for everone who has loved ones in the storm path.

To all Floridians:
From my untrained eye it looks as if the witch is strenghtening. Please stay safe. Prayers for all of you!!! Sleep with one eye open tonight, I'm serious - don't turn your back on this witch. But then again, you all already knew that.
God bless you all!!
Goodnight!

Is it over yet!
Damn this thread's not going to make it to landfall before lockout. What happen to Nauti "Little Debbie's" Nurse for Wilma thread part 4. Hope NN is safe, dry, and content after polishing off a whole box of those 'lil gems, lol.
For people on a good broadband connection, CrownWeather has been running all the major SF radar locations on their great site, for the last 6 hours.
Best Consolidated Hurr Wilma site on the Net
,other than this thread of course. I've been using Crownweather, among other sites, for many years.
Here's another great storm loop live track I've been using for years. This link is for Miami.
