OK, will do.
Hurricane vegetable soup..Fry onions and serloin ground beef in pan. Throw in all kinds of veggies. (Corn, peas, string beans, stewed tomatoes and various beans.) 3 cubes of beef bullion and 1-2 cans of V-8. Serve with corn muffins hot from the oven and butter. Yummy. Having some right now.
This is unbelievable

That is true dirtboy. We won't know until someone can actually get into Cancun. And that is not about to happen tonight with normally a small creek cresting at 5 feet over the main road.
The problem is at a place called Chemax. Small town, little creek now big and can't get over it. The small bridge is wiped out. (Funny, because I remember the place where I didn't give the kids some money and they gave me the finger). Do I dare post that? Why not.
LOL! Yes there are some darn nice frogs around! ;-)
"The 2005 hurricane season altered the record books again today with the formation of Tropical Storm Alpha Tropical Storm Algore south of Hispanola. Preliminary forecasts indicate TS Alpha TS ALGORE will not affect the U.S. mainland."
But it could have been worse.
Governor Blanco could have retired down there instead of running for higher office...
Ditto!..Done!
I can see it on the visible floater. As soon as the eye reaches the coast, she starts angling off to the right a bit.
My son played soccer in Bradenton, FL today and they play two more games tomorrow!
Just one heavy rainstorm. We were drenched and the boys loved it!
Tomorrow should be interesting.... ;-) GG
Thanks Guennie. Be safe my FRiend. You're likely in for a lot of rain, right?
BTW, this is not over yet. Still haven't heard directly from my friends in Cancun. I have only had reports indirect from Medera.
Will let you know when I hear from direct people in Cancun.
I hope that's all we're in for....rain, I could manage (I hope!)
He's put up some photos of the devastation. Has heard reports of hotels with sand dunes in the lobby.
YYAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!
(He said while running away screaming...)
hi, just got on again,
I'm in Sarasota.... watching and waiting....
Is someone in the know on who thinks this might re-strengthen significantly and blow up this way?
Course, it's conjecture at this stage.
Just wanted to check in.
Left Longboat on Wednesday. We put all the lanai furniture in the house, and hubby tied boat down on lift.
Glad we're not there.
Stay safe, Guennie. Are the 'kids' coming to your house?
Ch. 13 in Orlando says 50-55mph winds gusting to 75 for Orlando. Ch. 9 (WFTV) says 39 mph. The Weather Channel is scrolling the warnings now. Destructive wind 100 mph upon initial impact and no idea yet where that will be so people must prepare. Southern Brevard is to get hurricane force winds later in the day. The surge is not going to be much since the storm is moving fast. Everyone is to be preparing during the day Sunday as conditions deteriorate Sunday evening. Since the wind field is large everyone is told not pay attention to just the center of the storm.
So if Alpha or Beta gets bad enough to get its name retired, does that mean we make a change to the Greek alphabet?
NHC forecast plot has Wilma strengthening into a Cat 3 again before landfall as a possible Cat 2.
