That's why there will be no peace in the middle east until one side has killed off every single person of the other religion.

The arab is playing with the interviewer's head. It's a game that those of arab culture like to play.

There is no requirement in Islam to tell the truth to non-Muslims, when so doing would not be to the benefit of non-Muslims.

The whole passage can be distilled down to the Muslim saying to the interviewer: "f--- you, we have the area of the mosque, we're not giving it up, we're not getting into any game of logic with you where we concede anything that you can build an argument upon".
