I've been born there before I got the ef out. I used to live few miles from the Khrunichev aerospace plant, where the rockets were assembled. More, the neighborhood where I lived was build up by Khrunichev plant and populated mostly by their employees, so I've known and seen these "teetotalers" [they totally and completely abstained from water] up close for decades. Regarding your "I don't think they were drunk when they put the first satellite into orbit, the first man into space, the first woman into space, the first dog into space..." - Khrunichev employees once siphoned off a railroad tank car (60 tons) of technical alcohol - and I don't think you to be so retarded as to believe they used it for rubbing purposes. Why, I myself taught them to distill the alcohol-based wood paint (for it was 10 times cheaper than vodka per alcohol unit) in early 70s and had the pleasure of observing people carrying the characteristically labeled bottles by the sack. Within 2 months that brand of wood paint disappeared from all Moscow hardware stores.

Big deal. I am sure you think all blacks are great basketball players and all Russians are exactly like those in the Khrunichev area. I've been there many times, seen both sides. If you want to stereotype, feel free, I have no interest in stopping you..
