I have dialup, and yes - there has been a considerable time lag between hitting Post and your Reply actually appearing on the thread.

I've had this happen for days (and often in the past), and learned patience is a virtue..:))

What I learned to do is go back to Forum on another open window, and then to New Posts to You/My Comments - you should see THERE what is "still in the pipeline from or to you!"

Last night I saw there a Reply to me from Dolly, and it was a good 5-10 minutes before hitting Refresh brought it forth.

Don't know the reason, and don't care, just so we *have* access to our Lifeline to the World!!

Billie can tell you how in '97 and '98, etc. when you posted anything, it stayed in plain view on the front page for hours, so few of us on at any given time!!
[The bad aspect was no Preview, but we overlooked any and all typos]

I have cable and experience the same lag,but like you I have learned to go to my comment page after posting to make sure it went through.LOL.

I find it worse when FR is moving slow and I am more likely to double post during that time.:)
