"By saying NASCAR isn't black, I mean it isn't African American. And NASCAR is not at all black: Not in the cockpits of the stockcars; not on the pit crews; rarely, if at all, among the multitudes filling the 160,000-seat speedway stands...."

I'm with you.
Remember the Dodge Superbird?
The only reason they were on the streets was so Richard Petty could drive them at the track.
IIRC the Mfgr. had to have at least 50 of a certain vehicle on the streets before it could be raced.
I like your definition of "progressivism".
Apropos your observation regarding heading the ball - imagine how smart you might be if you hadn't headed all those balls?

"People like NASCAR because it's A RACE not because OF RACE."
Refuses to play with race cards - must be a member of the vast right wing conspiracy. ;-)
That is the most ridiculous explanation I've ever heard!
I love it when the libs post tripe such as this. It only serves to remind the rest of us why liberalism needs to be exterminated. For this, the witch hunt against DeLay and Rove, the constant attacks against Bush, the constant use of the race card in the wake of Katrina, and a thousand other things, I plan on paying them back in full come election time next year. I'm concerned about Miers but I'm a million times more angry at the libs and I can't wait to stick it to them next November. Ledt the libs fire away -- the Cold Civil War is on, and there are more of us than there are of them, as long as we have the gumption to show up and vote.
I think Roll N Roll ended with the Four Tops.
Well, you are absolutely right about that...
Go 'head on, Mr. Lester!
Huh, tell that to my country cousins.
