I'm sure she'll want Sharon Stone to play her secret self. /barf

Uh, Paula Jones' suit accused Clinton BEFORE he was President.
It is an open question whether a president can be sued civilly while in the White House.
In any case, Wilson's case is nothing but showboating by a very bitter man who was proven to be a liar by a Senate Committee.

Plame was the covert CIA agent allegedly unmasked by the White House. Now she is preparing to file a civil lawsuit against the Bush administration officials who may have disclosed her identity and scuttled her career, Salon.com reported Thursday.
A stretch at best but more to the point a complete joke...

Since we pay her salary....
Should we get involved ^-^
I say, she is not a private citizen.
We as tax payers, should be personally involved with this trial :)

I'm not a lawyer ..... Would the defense be able to call all of those reporters and make them testify in public? If not, how could there be a fair trial?

Oh brother! Please Fitzgerald, indict these lying schemers!! Blowhard Wilson and his oh-so-"private" (so private she had her name in "Who's Who" and posed for Vanity Fair and the Social pages...uh-huh...that kind of "private"...). Sheesh!

Regardless, of whether a President can be sued civilly or not, the tort of invasion of privacy does not apply in this case because Wilson and Plame were public employees and the conduct was relevant to the public interest. The Bush defense essentially will be that Wilson went to Niger, he got the job b/c of Plame and these facts were revealed to shed light on Wilson who was attempting to discredit the President.
I do think a President should not have immunity from suit for intentional acts.
To: STARWISE
Well, if the ho does sue, at least we'll find out if she really was a covert operative working for the CIA or just another desk jockey working at Langley.

How is it that having a government job is a "private" thing?
I'm thinking that if this Valerie Plame ever tried to buy a car the dealer or the bank financing the transaction would call her employer and ask if she worked there.
Else, she'd have to pay cash every single time ~ with that $10,000 reportable limit causing it's own problems!

Plame needs to know when to hold 'em, fold 'em and just walk away. They're publicity hounds. another understatement.

Oh yeah, let's get Mr. and Mrs. Wilson testifying under oath. This will be good. Waste of time? Yes. But entertaining non the less.

Could this be a sign of who is about to be indicted? Plame or Wilson?
