I consider myself extreme far right and will not be staying home in 2006 or any other election year. Did Rove and Libby commit a crime? I doubt it. Will they be indicted? Possibly. But, it will be a real stretch of the law if they are. The 2006 election is of great importance and it would be disastrous for this nation to let the Dims take over the House and Senate. Would almost assure the impeachment of President Bush. Democrats and the most vicious people I've ever met. They will stop at nothing to prove they were right about GWB or to make the point that the voters were stupid to vote for him. I for one am not going to roll over for them after all the abuse they have heaped on Republicans the past 5 years. Looking forward to 2006 elections and making them eat crow. Republicans are not stupid nor are we the hate mongers the Democrats are. Anyone who sits out the next election is doing just what the Dims want. Sure, I'm disappointed in the President when it comes to illegals and protecting our borders but certainly not upset enough to go back to having the Democrats run this country into the ground for the next 50 years.

They also clearly mean that the senators do not have the last word.

They ultimately do. The proof is that recess appointments expire.

Be very very careful about investing to much power in the Executive (Article II) branch, we won't have it forever.

The Legislature is listed first (Article One) for a reason.

I was watch tv that night when O'donnell went ballistic. I think it was about the Swiftboaters. Tonight he was subdued and calm. He's lucky he didn't get fired. It was that bad

"Liars! Liars! Creepy, Creepy, Liars!!"

Ah, what a night! Thanks for putting a smile on my face tonight - not quite the belly busting falling out of my chair roaring with laughter of that night, but it'll do! That one ranked right up there with 'Biting' Mike Tyson night.

After all, the media are drooling over this "scandal" but showed no interest in the others, so this one must be much bigger.

You forgot lieing in a court proceeding as well as a grand jury, hundreds of raw FBI files, Whitewater, Travelgate, Vince Foster, the Lincoln bedroom, cocaine shipments in and out of Arkansas and the list goes on.

So, Matthews has been saying stuff like this for a week. "DRUDGE: NYT FRIDAY: Rove and Libby have been advised that they may be in serious legal jeopardy".

When I first found FR, back in 98, I lurked a long time. Almost two years. People would analyze and discuss the inner working of our constitution and make sound arguments for against a particular viewpoint. I finally joined as an official member during the FL hearings during the Bush v Gore trial. I should have joined earlier, only refrained because I'm not the best debater and there were so many on FR that said what I was thinking better.

Fast forward to 2005. What do we have? A bunch of ninnies who don't have facts to back them up, only ad hominem attacks. If they actually read the constitution and how the process evolves, they'd understand, turning the tone of this country from a liberal mindset to a conservative one isn't going to happen overnight. It's going to take decades. And with luck, maybe, I'll see that happen in my lifetime, but for sure, my kids will. IF we keep control. All this infighting on FR is stupid. Those who want it now, are the video game generation. They can't wait and watch the strategy. They want it now, and if it doesn't happen within a week, they whine like a baby about how their 'pet issue' is the downfall of this country. It's really a shame that so many 'conservatives' on this forum think if they can't have their way they'll take their toys home. This isn't how our government works. But try to explain that to them.

"The GOP has taken our patience and abused it, and relied on our faith and support to allow them the freedom to move left."

Agree. And it sucks big time. I really don't know what else to say. The word "sucks" isn't in my normal vocab...but it's the only thing I can think of right now.

All the Committee Chairmen. Check out this link, it has the votes on the 2 Coburn ammendments to reduce pork today. Senator Steven almost stoked out, he never saw anything like this in 37 years. the good guys are few

Also, I know for a fact that Senator Voinovich loathes him. I got that out of one of his interns.

Hello?

Do you not understand that all appointments -- "people who serve at the descretion of the president" -- all expire?

Either when he fires them or his term is up, they are subject to losing their jobs.

So, lets just give up. Don't fight the battle, don't see the long term goals, lets go for the instant gratification, you know the orgasm. It's been 5 long years. It took 11 years to get the constitution ratifited. That doesn't matter. Let's just throw in the towel.

Too many are reading and listening to the MSM, I think.
