There is only a finite number of times that Lucy can pull that football out from in front of us. Sooner or later, Charlie Brown is just going to say, "screw it", and walk off the field on his way home. Then Lucy is going to panic and scream after him, "Traitor, you're letting the other team win!!!".

Do you even have the sense to realize the true irony of that statement?

We feel the SAME WAY about you "This is it, I'm never voting for the GOP again" people.

If you're going to leave, leave, damnit; but for the love of gawd, STOP telling us about it.

Scooter. I still can't get over that name, my dad used to call me 'scooter' when I was young.

Anyone doesn't vote for the POTUS's pick, only senators.

I thought that was implied.

We haven't defeated the Dims because they're in "lockstep" and we're not.

It's because we've been ORGANIZED and they have not.

Most of us on this board agree on 80 percent of the issues. That's enough to stick together (and just fight among ourselves a little).

But no where in the constitution does it say that anyone has to vote for the POTUS's pick.

Gee, haven't conservatives made that very argument every since Trent Lott made his little deal with Daschle?

Likewise!

Are you a conservative? So, you can be a conservative and support Bush?

It may not be fashionable on this board!

I remember the mature FR fondly, when we used to plot against our enemies.

Those WERE the days!!!

A united FR, playing variations on a theme, with nary a discouraging word.

Now what do we have?

Not mature unanimity, but senile debate.

***sigh***

I knew a guy once at State who, when he drank and went to sleep, drooled, hence he was called The Drooler.

One night, late in his senior year, he had a FIT about the name, saying that he was getting ready to graduate with his business degres, that we HAD to stop calling him that because he just could not have people coming into his office asking to see "The Drooler."

I don't think anybody stopped. :-)

Abel danger, Clinton refusing to accept Binnys head on a platter, Berger, Hillary campaign financial hokum.

There is no dearth of opportunities but their is a lack of resolve.

Clinton crushed innocents he took to be opponents he used guys like Terry Lenzner, yet our side refuses to defend itself against legal assassination attempts.

I know. We always play nice. It's why a Democrat president can appoint an activist ACLU leftist to the Supreme Court and she'll be confimed 97-3 by a Republican Senate. Meanwhile, a Democratic minority in the Senate can force a Republican president to nominate stealth candidates with threat of a filibuster.

No one is suggesting that we smear anyone. Just fight back. Point out Earle's ties to MoveOn, for a start.

You want to see "together?"

Come back as soon as any indictments are announced, if it's at the White House.

It won't be that hard to pick out the Republicans In Name Only then.........LOL.

I'm just sick of people wanting everything right now. If you really read the constitution, and how our govermnet works, it's designed to be a slow, drawn out process, to prevent a dictator type rule. I'll say it again, too many people want instant gratification, and are unwilling to wait for the process to work itself out. I guess that's what we get from 24/7 news.

That's why you're going to give W. three more years to accomplish the conservative agenda, right?
