This Bush-bashing reminds me of employees who bash the product their company makes, then wonder why they lose their jobs.

LOL!

Or unions going on strike for ridiculously high wages and then wonder why car sales drop off!

Go figure. (But, of course, you and I can't "go figure," that would make us LIBERALS!)

You mean the extreme far right? Because I'm right.

I'm sorry, what exactly do you support that's on the right, besides a decent war policy? Is that the sole definition nowadays of what constitutes the right? (The use of the term "extreme far right" itself is an indicator of someone on the Left.)

If you mean the extreme far right, the part that's always swearing to stay home with their votes, we're sick of hearing that.

Believe me, not as sick as I am of hearing that an alleged center-right GOP is spending more money that the most degenerate of Democrats. Not as sick as I am of seeing an alleged center-right government enact socialist policies, suck up to Arab terrorists, and cover up for years of Democrat malfeasance. Not as sick as I am of seeing Sandy Berger free. Not as sick as I am of illegal immigrants suing Americans in US courts and winning. Not as sick as I am of continuing to watch the lawsuit lottery many years after the promised tort reform. Not as sick as I am of seeing Norm Minetta still heading the TSA. Not as... etc. etc. etc.

You should change your nick to Clueless in Las Vegas.

Go back and re-read my post, cluless.

That was not directed at him / her.

Get a grip.

I think you're wrong.

I have seen plenty of people on this very forum saying that it would be GOOD for the GOP to lose in 2006 and 2008.

Just in the last two weeks.

The real problem is that Bush has never faced the criminality of the Clintons, he refused to allow the prosecution of Berger, they didn't even name Hillary in her campaign contribution Hollywood fundraising thingie.

Bush has refused to defend himself by taking ameliorative actions, shots across the bow so to speak to stop this crap.

The admin should have taken Joe Wilson apart but not behind the scenes, when are these guys going to start getting im people's faces?

"This is an unmitigated disaster and could ultimately lead to the impeachment of President Bush."

Not even close. Clinton had a lot of worse scandals than this. The American public isn't paying any attention to Plumegate. Only the MSM care.

..."average Joe" you're talking about will swallow most of the "this administration and their allies in Congress are corrupt" propaganda hook, line and sinker."

Nope. The average Joe is not getting the credit he deserves. He has a computer now and no longer gets the news from the MSM.

A good rule of thumb is that the people aren't as smart as we think they are, but also aren't as stupid as the Democrats think they are.

I've been here just over a year...I posted a link back the the election night thread when Fox News called "Ohio for Bush!"

I did not watch TV on election night. I got all my information from the thread on FR. It was amazing. We were so unified & focused.

What's that line from "Patton":

"All Glory is Fleeting."

I agree with you 100 percent.

I just don't see any of it really, but I don't know all the facts. Yet.

If they get called on coverup, I believe it will be trumped up.

Surely the White House has a right to defend itself from lies.

I guess their big mistake was not calling a press conference and calling him an outright liar on national TV.
They sure could have backed that up.

Drudge has just posted the following:

"MOCK HEARINGS HELP MIERS PREPARE FOR GRILLING BY SENATE... DEVELOPING..."

No link. I wonder if this is Batchelor's big announcement... still tuned in at the top of the hour break.

Not likely, this guy is said to have an encyclopedic memory on war on terror issues, Islamists etc., he just doesnt seem to be the type of guy that would go rogue on something like this especially if the best he can do is some cobbled together charge of obstruction of justice or something.

From what I remember at the time, Fitzgerald (Patrick) was very well respected in Illinois.

Why does this remind me of what we are potentially facing if Miers is confirmed? Waiting, wondering, and looking for clues as to how she will vote. Everything is just too shaky for my comfort right now.

I'll disagree with that. That it would be good for them to lose.

Although I do take it on a case by case basis: for example Lincoln Chafee "I didn't vote for Bush in 2004" has got to go. Luckily he has a primary challenger. Unluckily the RNSC is going after him with the big guns instead of going after Dems.

No, it's like being the only lemming that decides not to jump off the cliff, watching everyone else head straight to their demise.

Does that make you feel all warm and fuzzy, posting self-rightous crap like that?

Yes, conservatives would "sit out for spite", and probably a number of them will.

There is only a finite number of times that Lucy can pull that football out from in front of us. Sooner or later, Charlie Brown is just going to say, "screw it", and walk off the field on his way home. Then Lucy is going to panic and scream after him, "Traitor, you're letting the other team win!!!".

That whole RINO, establishment, Wall Street, CEO, Rockefeller, Skull and Bones, elitist crowd, and all of their willing, nest-feathering flunkeys in D.C. have been running the GOP, and treating us like rubes for ages.

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt. I ain't playing their three card monte anymore. I'll support any candidate who has shown themself a real conservative in word and in DEED. Just because you stick a little "R" after your name doesn't mean squat to me anymore. You hear me GWB, McCain, Graham, Specter. No more money, time, or votes for your ilk.
