NYT FRIDAY: Rove and Libby have been advised that they may be in serious legal jeopardy, but only this week has Fitzgerald begun to narrow the possible charges. The prosecutor has said he will not make up his mind about any charges until next week, government officials say... Developing...
It did seem widely known...but the point I was making was that it also seems likely that she didn't learn it from anyone other than Plame herself. Plame worked in the WMD specialist section of the CIA, isn't that correct? And Miller was doing research on Germ warfare at the CIA...which would be the WMD section...the same section that Plame worked in. I have no knowledge that they met, but they seem to have been in the same proximity and perhaps in direct contact. It's just something worth considering.
Is this the same thing as being a "target of the grand jury"?
This whole thing is ridiculous especially when all of this is based on a LIAR like Joe Wilson & his cronie wife working at CIA.
All of this nonsense after Hillary Clinton used her friend at the IRS to investigate her perceived adversaries and NOTHING was done about it.
Seriously, go do something fun....spend time with your family.....play some golf, cards, twister, whatever. You sound like you could use a break from it all. Everything is gonna be fine, really. LOL
Instead of the above comment, how about this:
"This coming from a paper whose circulation numbers and profits are dropping faster than Bill Clinton's pants."
Tucker essentially supported the Kerry campaign during the last election. He was very open about saying he believed Bush would lose and that it wouldn't really matter if he did. Tucker is above all else, a capitalist out to make a buck. He will say what generates the most income for himself in the form of speaking engagements, and continued contracts with the likes of MSNBC.
How the hell does that make any sense? Someone help me understand why Rove's atty. would be the leaker!
Turned over to Tucker late after the VaTech game.
If you've been watching Tucker - did that Flavia woman just say something about Fitzgerald having contacted the Italians to seek evidence in his investigation? Or was she just talking hypothetically?
Oh yeah, that's right...Pres Bush could pardon. Can he do that while he is still Pres or does he have to wait like Clinton did and do it on the way out?
Can you imagine the screaming if there were indictments and the President pardoned them?
I was watch tv that night when O'donnell went ballistic. I think it was about the Swiftboaters. Tonight he was subdued and calm. He's lucky he didn't get fired. It was that bad.
Maybe he is the leaker...but he's just BSing them...giving them what they want to hear...not the facts. A twist on the Blumenthal strategy.
Well, the crack addicts in Texas indicted Tom DeLay today for not commiting a crime, I don't see why Rove and Libby can't be indicted. The Commie pigs down at the DNC are trying to prove that the phrase "you can indict a ham sandwich" is not a myth.
In their orgasmic dreams.
If they think any of this is going to win them any elections they are sadly mistaken. If you remember Clinton's popularity went up when he was under fire. It's seen as piling on.
Notwithstanding all of the macisimo by many on this thread, this effectively will neuter President Bush. He will be tainted and marginalized. To date he has refused to fight back on the same terms as the left, probably because it is not his nature and is offensive to him. But he should attack now and hard and at all democrats he got the goods on. No nice-nice with Kennedy,Schummer,Clinton, or any others. This is what Kennedy hoped for nearly 3 years ago when he stated that the Iraq War was cooked up at the ranch in Crawford. Now they have what they want, if this is true. If this cannot be stemmed, say hello to President Hillary Clinton. This is unf**kin'believable.
I think that's NYT speak for "we didn't personally interview either one of them, and insofar as they haven't called us to discuss their legal status, we can only assume it's because they have declined to comment about it"
Absolutely :)
Huh. Exactly where I was shortly after the election. A feeling that danger had passed.
I wonder if that is, to some extent, a precursor to the problems he now faces.
Our human failings and sense of "we did it on our own" often betray us.
