It does not matter how far left Bush goes, you will cheer him on.

It does not matter how many illegal aliens invade our nation, you will cheer Bush on.

It does not matter how extreme the fiscal insanity goes on, you will cheer Bush on.

It does not matter how unqualified Miers is, you cheer Bush's pick.

Michelle Malkin and I, Goerge Will and I, Linda Chavez and I, Charles Krauthammer and I, Joseph Farah and I, Bob Novak and I, Ann Coulter and I, Peggy Noonaan and I, . . .

we critique and show outrage because we are conservatives and Bush is not a conservative, but told us he was when we elected him. Bush betrayed us.

"It does not matter how far left Bush goes, you will cheer him on."

You are absolutely incorrect.

Though I respect their opinions, none of the anti-Miers conservtives has a more convincing argument than President Bush - he was elected President, Miers is his choice.

But what do YOU think?

Reminds me of the movie "Coming to America"; but what do you want "whatever you want", but what do you think "whatever you think".

Good iea to cultivate your own brain, I don't think Bush has enough to share.

And then again, she may not have given advice on any cases that will come before the Supreme Court.

YES I can have it both ways. When someone like the Klintoon nominates, based on his record and actions, I reserve my right to voice my opposition because i feel his actions are not always for the good of this country. However, HE IS STILL PRESIDENT!!

This reply makes no sense. It doesn't address my reply to you at all.

Your battling straw men. Nobody suggested Bush was not President. You need to address topics with needles not paint rollers.

Ping for a great conservative lady!

BTW, if Ms. Miers doesn't dazzle in the confirmation hearings, she probably won't make it.

Can someone post a list of well respected conservative commentators who support this woman? It would pale in comparison to well respected conservatives who think Miers to be a blunder. This is a terrible nomination and one that everyone who worked so hard to put Bush in the position he is in should be insulted by. This woman is not anywhere near a top tier supreme court candidate and was solely given this job because of her brown nose. We deserve a lot better. Had Clinton put up a crony with so little relevant experience, I'd imagine those of you who are falling all over yourselves to defend the president would be outraged.

What is almost as insulting is how the administration has tried to defend the nomination. They’ve acted like libs. Instead of responding to legitimate criticism, they have been quick to throw the sexist and elitist labels at a lot of the people who have been their closest allies over the years. Making spurious charges of sexism, elitism, and racism to avoid making an honest answer to legitimate questions is the first play in the liberal play book. Let’s face it. Bush was trying cowardly to avoid a fight with the libs, and instead ended up picking a fight with our side. When you make a nomination and the biggest outrage comes from your own base, you’ve made a blunder. And this is by far the biggest mistake of the Bush presidency.

This is how Hitler came into power. They cheered him on no matter what he did. Different scenarios for sure but same theme.

Please, for the love of God:

STOP COMPARING BUSH TO HITLER!!!

Are there any camps being put up? Any group of people being actively discriminated against or harrassed? Secret police being formed? Rivals being put in jail, beaten, killed, or "disappearing"? Liberties being curtailed? No. So you, and everyone other mental midget, stop with using Hitler in the same breath as Bush. Putting a crony into office is nowhere near anything that Hitler did, and is not leading our country down the road to fascism. You look like a D.U. poster when you write something so incredibly stupid.

I did not compare Bush to Hitler.

I said when that Hitler came into power because nearly everybody agreed with what he did. It is an EXAMPLE of what happens when most citizens stop questioning or critiquing their leaders.

I used it as an EXAMPLE because too many of you refuse to question anything Bush does, even though the most respected commentators have all questioned, seriously questioned AND criticized what is coming out of the White House.

You look like a radical reactionary with your lying post..

If you are willing to include Joe Farah and yourself, you obviously don't read too many of his columns ;-)

Your beliefs must differ from mine, or, we have different levels of reading comprehension skills since I have read many of his columns and, over his career, he has been a consistent pro-American, pro-conservative commentator.
