Can someone post a list of well respected conservative commentators who support this woman? It would pale in comparison to well respected conservatives who think Miers to be a blunder. This is a terrible nomination and one that everyone who worked so hard to put Bush in the position he is in should be insulted by. This woman is not anywhere near a top tier supreme court candidate and was solely given this job because of her brown nose. We deserve a lot better. Had Clinton put up a crony with so little relevant experience, I'd imagine those of you who are falling all over yourselves to defend the president would be outraged.

What is almost as insulting is how the administration has tried to defend the nomination. They’ve acted like libs. Instead of responding to legitimate criticism, they have been quick to throw the sexist and elitist labels at a lot of the people who have been their closest allies over the years. Making spurious charges of sexism, elitism, and racism to avoid making an honest answer to legitimate questions is the first play in the liberal play book. Let’s face it. Bush was trying cowardly to avoid a fight with the libs, and instead ended up picking a fight with our side. When you make a nomination and the biggest outrage comes from your own base, you’ve made a blunder. And this is by far the biggest mistake of the Bush presidency.
