And you know someone that actually fueled their jack-o-lantern that way....or did you read it somewhere?

Let's face it, Halloween has about as much to do with spooky costumes and giveaway candy as Christmas has to do with a fat guy in a red suit stuffing socks with goodies. But that's how we celebrate it.
My take? The church folks have every right to send a letter and she has every right to decorate her house. Pity adults have this sort of problem, isn't it?
To: Buttoutsky
How bout I take a trip down to Rev. Busybody's church and dump MY flyer telling him what a crock his beliefs are...? And how much trouble do you think you'd be in if you did that? None at all? Which is precisely the point, Mr. I-signed-up-today-and-immediately-decided-to-start-slinging-insults.

Leaving threatening letters on people's private property is not cool. That's right. Finding a flyer on their door might cause them to become very, very, very upset and feel offended.
They might even have to call the cops and have an alarm system installed. LMAO!

Demon-lover....how dare you even suggest something like that....

I expect it was more informational than threatening. If the truth upsets themThe opinion of a jackanapes who hates Halloween is hardly "truth."
The only information it apparently contained was "Hi! I am a lunatic who can't deal with Halloween."

I buy meat from a guy that works out a pickup truck. The meat is better than anything in the stores and it is less expensive. Give it a try!

I'm just upset that some found my secret jack-o-lantern fuel. It's been such a closely guarded family secret until now.

You know autumn is here when there is a chill in the air, the world series is about to begin, and the halloween threads appear on FR...

There always seems to be at least one person, somewhere, that can find something demonic, in just about anything. They're so busy looking for evil they don't see what is literally under their own nose.

>Anyone, Christian or pagan, who can confuse the great American costume party on October 31 ... with a pagan or demonic rite is sorely deluded
I used to think that.
But then I saw Matt's outfit . . .
It must be Satan!

Hmm...people who leaflet my door have my anger directed at them. I don't care whether they're real estate agents wanting me to sell my house, home repair folks wanting to sell me new windows, or religious folks objecting to the gauze ghost hanging from my tree.
My opinion: Unless I am breaking some law, they should stay off my property and mind their own business.
If they drop paper on my lawn, I call them and insist they return and remove their litter. If they refuse, I file a complaint for littering against them.
If I find them stuffing flyers in my door, I inform them that they are trespassing on my property and that I will press charges if they ever return.
I love Halloween. I dislike busybodies.

Halloween seems like it is taking just as much prominence as Christmas." ********************
I have to agree. I saw the first Halloween decorations in this area the first week of September. People are decorating their entire yards, porches and roofs. It really has become the equal of Christmas.
