Gloria Allred (attorney -- filed a friend of the court brief in Jones' sexual harassment suit against Clinton)
I think Juanita Broaddrick appeared very credible on the interview on NBC. I don't find it a problem that it occurred 20 years ago and it was in a hotel room -- just because it was in a hotel room doesn't mean that she couldn't have been a victim of sexual assault. Because she didn't report it doesn't mean it didn't happen.
I can identify with her because I was a victim of sexual assault in a hotel room. I never went to the police. It was a long time ago, I was in my 20s. It was in Mexico by a physician who told me on our first date that he had to see a patient in this hotel room. I said, "OK," and I went in and he pulled a gun. I was in total shock. At the time, I thought, Who would believe me? I was a teacher and he was a well-known physician. I told a girlfriend of mine and we just left Mexico. I can see Juanita Broaddrick thinking, He's the attorney general -- who would believe me? Also, at the time, she was married and having an affair.
There are complex reasons why women don't report rape, especially when it involves powerful men. If the physical evidence isn't there, it's unlikely that the case could be prosecuted. Only a small percentage of rape cases are prosecuted. But they're really difficult when they're against powerful men.
I can sympathize with Ms. Broaddrick, but I can't reach a conclusion. She was not under oath or cross-examined as a lawyer would in a court of law, so it's impossible to draw a conclusion.
On the other hand, the president's denial through his attorney, David Kendall, does not necessarily carry any weight either, because he has admitted that he lied to his wife about Monica, lied to his cabinet, lied to the American people. I can't say that I believe the president didn't do this -- and I can't say that he did. But it's disturbing. If the president did commit a rape or sexual abuse to a child or murder 20 years ago, I think it should still be relevant to whether or not he should be president. But we won't know this because there's no forum like a court of law to decide these issues.
There are people who say this is his modus operandi, but I don't think that's fair. He hasn't been charged with rape before. He doesn't have an M.O. for rape; he does have an M.O. for consensual sexual relations outside his marriage. But I'm very disappointed with the president. I supported him for six and a half years, I contributed to his campaign, I know him personally. I'm very disappointed in his conduct, and the fact that he lied to the American people. I think he should resign. I'm probably the only feminist who is calling for his resignation.
1. A rapist is still loved by an overwhelming percentage of his party.
2. Justice has never been served.
3. He won't get off the stage and continues to do damage to this nation.
4. The rape enabler would be unbelievably dangerous in the White House.
Rapists and sexual predators rarely change who and what they are. They are mentally deranged.
If Bill Clinton was a rapist and sexual predator 20-25 years ago, and he continues his predation on subordinates, as evidenced by Monica Lewinsky, then it is likely that he has not changed.
Bill Clinton is like the closet alcoholic who exhibits enough self control to appear normal, but who has a seriously problem, and who occasionally loses control - and has his wife help him cover up. He's still a sexual predator, and he's only fortunate that having been President has only increased his sex appeal so that he's no longer having to prey upon the unwilling. This does not excuse his abuse of subordinates, his violation of marital vows, and his lack of general morality. Though if you listen to the MSM, Bill and Hillary Clinton are like avocado on toast. Personally, I think both of them are a stain on the White House that is going to take generations to wash clean.
I don't understand why she could not see the evidence that he is probably a rapist. Others have spoken of his rough and forceful ways.
That is something that I can agree with .... Hitlery has to be stopped.
She sees it. But, she likes the power and the money. That is why she puts up the world most detestable man. She has always needed his leg up in politics. This is not a stupid woman. She is an evil woman.
Thanks. I'm glad we can agree. But......it would be good to leave the Hitler comparisons to the other side. Let them be the kooks.
Monica was consensual. A better example is Kathleen Willey who was assaulted in the White House.
If you reread what I wrote, I covered Monica as consensual but still an abuse of a subordinate, and a violation of marital vows.
Sexual predators don't need to have non-consensual sex. They just need to have sex. When Clinton was a lowly AG and before he was President, he didn't rank groupies. Now he can be a predator and have his pick of his willing prey. That doesn't change what he is. It just means that he has better access to legal exploits. Take away his status and power and he'll revert to his old habits.
His need to remain in the limelight and his corruption, his political career, etc, can all probably be attributed to his need to increase his sex appeal. He exhibits little or no real self control over his sexual appetites, and Hillary probably has him on a tight leash right now because any scandal at this point could sink her political aspirations. In general Billy Boy is a liability because he's really nothing more than a 6 year old with adult appetites.
One of the reasons that frightens me as a woman if Hitlery Clinton gets the WH in '08 is Bubba Clintoon would be sitting in the catbird seat in a position to impose his predatory will on any and every woman that comes into contact with him. And ole Hitlery will do her usual thing and (1) look the other way and (2) get the Secret Service do damage control.
Okay, I read it more carefully. :) What he did to Monica created a hostile work environment. And let us not forget that little matter about her TOP SECRET CLEARANCE at the Pentagon.
What frightens me is that she would wield power as has no other president. She could declare new and scary executive orders. She could shut down talk radio and the internet. She could commit U.S. troops to U.N. control without any legislative input. And who would stop her? Who would impeach her? No one. The Democrats would never convict her.
Sad isn't it? Sad, pathetic, and generally just plain idiotic.
I can't believe many Democrats believe Clinton was the best President they've ever had. They lost more credibility under his leadership than even under Carter. Lastly, they've lost a lot of power and influence in our country because of Clinton's policies.
(On a side note, Carter has lost a lot more credibility after he left the White House, than he did when he occupied the Oval Office.)
Neither would MSM criticize her.
PREDICTION: One day, some day soon by my premonition, there will be a dead girl in Clinton's bedroom...there will be no plausible explanation for her death (her parents will request no autopsy) and there will be some sort of plausible alibi for the rapist (out walking when it happened)...the press will be there yet there will be no digging by the papers to discover the truth...but the episode will sink Hildabeaste's chances of gaining the WH...the outcry for truth will eventually die down. Then, immediately after his final reward (hell), the girl death will be attributed to an overdose administered by Beelzebubba. Juanita, Kathleen, Paula, et all will finally ALL be believed and a proper legacy will be established for the absolute vilest POS to ever hold office.
What frightens me is that she would wield power as has no other president. She could declare new and scary executive orders. She could shut down talk radio and the internet. She could commit U.S. troops to U.N. control without any legislative input. And who would stop her? Who would impeach her? No one. The Democrats would never convict her.
Anyways, I didn't know Gloria Allred publicly said those things in 1999. A little late, but my opinion of her just went up a notch.
She once told the story on the air of being at a fundraiser at a home in Brentwood. She tried to get people to address the issue, but they wanted nothing to do with it.
You're not remote viewer Sean David Morton, are you? :)
