In 1986, George W. Bush reached a crisis point in his life and changed what wasn't working. He dug deep and got serious. He got humble. He questioned himself. He can do it again, and should.

For that matter, how long do you think is enough time to ask that question?

Rove has a 98% winning percentage (or perhaps higher) for his political clients.

Who are some of Rove's clients? Both senators of Texas and the President of the United States. None of whom have lost an election while Rove was their consultant.

Who was the architect behind the Republican takeover of Texas? Rove! While he operated here, every elected office at the Texas state level was seized by Republicans.

Who designed the strategy for increasing the number of Republican seats in the U.S Congress each of the past three elections. Go ahead. Say Peggy. I double-dog dare you. But if you do, you'd be wrong. It was Rove! Such a political feat has rarely --- if ever --- been accomplished in the history of this country.

One final question: Are liberal prosecutors working feverishly to indict Peggy? No? Gee I wonder why? Could it be because she matters little in national politics? Could it be because liberals have no fear of her? Could it be because she has never been involved in defeating a liberal democrat in anything?

Think twice about doubting Rove's political prowesss. He has amassed a significant, winning track record in the political life of this country's history. It will be a long time before some other political consultant will top his achievments.

LOL - Guess you weren't around for Reagan. Many conservatives, including myself, don't think too highly of President Bush. We overlooked alot for one reason, to realign the courts with strict constructionist judges who understand the limits of the courts power.

With the nomination of Miers, President Bush has frustrated a significant percentage of his base and we have decided that no - we aren't going to overlook his poor leadership any longer.

The massive government expansion that has taken place under his watch must stop and be reversed. The limits placed on political speech must be removed. Fiscal responsibility must become a priority. Constructionist judges must be nominated to the supreme court. </Rant>

PEG has been unhinged for about a year.

But I can usually make a bet on who will come on here to defend her. And then we have the additional problem with the "pundits" who will have her on their chat show and pretend not to know what she's already written.

Yes, I was around for Reagan. He made a lot of mistakes too, I remember well. He turned and ran from Beruit (we're still paying for that one) and he gave amenisty to the illegals and caused that problem as well. None the less, he was a grand president and ended the cold war.

I don't remember republicans turning on him though even though we are still suffering the results of some of his actions.

I haven't seen this kind of thing since the stupid Brits turned on Maggie Thatcher and the result was they have been out of power in Britain ever since. The conservative movement there is completely and thoroughly dead. What few Tories remain make McCain look like a John Birtcher. Is that where you guys really want to go?

George Washington was a great president. But the only enemy he had to fight was the British.

President Bush is fighting the terrorists, the europeans, the leftists, the media and now some in his own party. Still, he continues to do the right thing.
