In 1986, George W. Bush reached a crisis point in his life and changed what wasn't working. He dug deep and got serious. He got humble. He questioned himself. He can do it again, and should.

Sins to you. Not to everybody.
And, FGS, it's just ten months since the new terms started. How about not acting like he's dead for a few more months.
It's easy to sit back and throw out complete falsehoods
So I see.
...at those of us who are interested in promoting a cause rather than a team!
You need to understand something; in this party MAJORITY rules; and the majority in this party support President Bush.
Her hearing start November 7th.
Live with it.
Okay, bad pun! :-)
Piffle. Nonsense. This time next year it'll be less interesting than old weather reports. :-)
O/T: I saw an interesting graphic on WRAL tonight concerning Wilma; she went right over you. :-(
Link, please.
Where have you been this past year? We are in a war on terror, we are fighting the Iranians and the North Koreans who are in a race to get nukes, is rebuilding an entire middle eastern country in order to make sure this country remains safe, we have just suffered the largest natural disaster this country has ever seen, wiping out an area of the country bigger then the entire British Isles, he has just gone through one USSC nomination and is now having to fight his own party to get another one confirmed, and has 7 "republican" senators in open revolt. Add to that a Texas democrat prosecutor who has just indicted his majority leader on false charges and another one who is trying to pin something on his right hand man. Other than that, I guess you can say he's done nothing.
I have a feeling he's like to knock the crap out of Bill Clinton.
I'd pay to see that.
Yeah, me, too. I kept going to sleep with it on my face!
Something tells me that after the hurricane is finished, you and your anti-GOP, anti-Miers, anti-Bush brethren will not be rescue workers, but looters.
Exactly right, on all counts.
I sincerely hope you're right. However, you don't usually win off year elections by splitting your base.
LOL!
You're so lucky that reading books can help you fall asleep.
That doesn't work for me. Instead, a book can get me so riled up late at night that I won't be able to sleep for several hours.
Come to think of it, FR has the same effect on me.
Oh well. Looks like another night of insomnia for me tonight.
I've listened to people bi*ch about the NCLB act, yet tonight it was on the news that math scores are higher than they have ever been. Do you really think that happened all by itself? We had a problem with teachers not teaching, now they have to in order to pass the tests. That's a good use of money to my mind, especially since we are going to be in competition with both the Indians and the Chinese. We either teach our kids math, or teach them to be servants.
Ms. Noonan was special assistant to President Ronald Reagan. In 1988 she was chief speechwriter for Vice President George Bush as he ran for the presidency. Her first book, "What I Saw at the Revolution: A Political Life in the Reagan Era," was published in 1990. She is also author of "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness" (1994), "On Speaking Well" (1998), and "The Case Against Hillary Clinton" (2000) and "When Character Was King" (2001).
LOL. Now the BOHICA bushbot republicans consider us looters. Add it to the list.
Aw c'mon. You have to grant that my pun was original, and most especially fitting, considering your preposterous hurricane analogy!
A couple of EX-speech writers have decided that they hate the President as much as Maureen Dowd.
Oh, and Ann Coulter and Michelle Malkin who really haven't said anything of substance to add to the political debate in years. But they look good on TV.
