If anything this whole founding fathers argument is a poor argument to attempt, you cant compare what they did then to present day circumstances.

That is the liberals' argument for a "living" Constitution.

Umm two different things, the constitution isnt a living being with real life experiences formulating its thoughts and opinions.

Of course Jefferson did quip to Madison once that he thought that the laws of the US should be scrapped every twenty years so that the new generation could create laws better fit for them.
