I hate that feeling of waiting and waiting and then nothing.
I can't believe I jumped up a few positions,, I'll probably drop 20 next week. It's been such a YoYo year. ;-)

Thank you for all the tire facts, the bashing was getting a little overblown.

It cleared last night on the hurricane thread, but did it again today, at work, on the same. Maybe just too much traffic or impatience on my part.
WCG better look out, we've got her sandwiched!

"Thank you for all the tire facts, the bashing was getting a little overblown." You're welcome, it's about time the drivers started speaking up about this. I don't know what Nascar expects from Goodyear when the track is changed just weeks before the race leaving them little or no time to change anything. And at whose expense?
I wondered why not many were posting toward the end of the race. JohnRob must have had that biscuit problem again. It was amazing to me that the two top Chase drivers were right there dueling for second and third for awhile.
And that Roush either does well with all cars or none. Must be that the five car team is not such a benefit after all when it comes to testing. It seems they sent Biffle to test there and it's not his best track.

Homestead track hit hard by hurricane
By BRANT JAMES, Times Staff Writer
Published October 25, 2005
Curtis Gray figured his office was about the safest place he could be when Hurricane Wilma tore through South Florida Monday morning. The concrete and metal of Homestead-Miami Speedway offered a lot more security than his home in Key Largo, which was forecast to be walloped. And an onsite generator guaranteed electricity. So there he sat at 6 a.m.
The track president was unsure how his home survived as of late Monday afternoon, but the track, the site of the season-ending NASCAR Nextel Cup, Busch series and truck races the weekend of Nov.20, was walloped, too.
Lifted off their foundations by winds in excess of 100 mph, several sections of large steel garage suites overlooking pit road knocked down 12 recently installed light poles, tore down 50 yards of catch fence near the start/finish line and did lesser damage to infield structures and the grandstands.
"The wind got us pretty good," Gray said by telephone. "We would have been fine if the suites hadn't come up."
Gray could not estimate the cost of damages but said repair crews already dispatched from fellow International Speedway Corp. tracks in Daytona Beach and Talladega should complete repairs in time for the race weekend.

Yeah, like the fact that softer tires was, in part, their idea!
Don't know if it was the bicsuit problem or not, didn't think to check at the time. If I could have even gotten there.LOL

TB, here is the reference to the
biscuit. It would have been much more palatable with gravy and maybe some pancakes or sausage too. :)
