Five - one 'Stros now in the bottom of the eighth. Can it happen?
To: no dems
Outstanding work from Oswalt 7IP, 3H, ER, 6Ks
Clutch job.
To: bayareablues
It is now the bottom of the eighth, one out for the Cards, and Astros leading 5 - 1.

I still am not a believer in the ChiSox. All teams in the AL playoffs had deep flaws, even the ChiSox themselves. Their sweep of us wasn't as dominant as it looked and the Angels team was hobbled by the loss of Colon and was shell-shocked by that Eddings call.
I'd take the Astros starters over the ChiSox starters every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

One more inning. They'll pinch hit for Qualls.
Will it be Wheeler or Lidge in the 9th?
I bet Garner sticks with Lidge.

Eight complete now.... still 5 - 1 Houston.
To: DrewsDad
The only consideration is if Lidge feels he's tired from overwork.

A truly odd and different Series, with some serious pitching. As unbeatable as the Chisox staff looks, this Oswalt is no doubt gonna shut their hitters down in his 2 starts. And I like how the smart veterans Clemens & Pettitte match up with them too. Astros might do just fine.

I will zip it tonight. In my youth, I was a baseball fanatic. It gradually waned, and I don't think I've been to a Dodger game since they were cheering on wife beater and cokehead Darryl Strawberry. No longer did I want to give them my money.
Before the playoffs, I didn't watch a game and know virtually none of the newer players. Oswalt seems like one helluva pitcher. Pretty impressive. And it was extremely impressive for the ChiSox to have 4 straight complete games. This is an exciting time of year. Whoever wins, it should be an exciting Series.

To my uncle Danny and cousin Dawn, you have waited for so long! three more outs to go to Chi-town!

I rooting for all you Texas Freepers tonight.
Even though I'm from Nats Nation.

This one? I haven't seen the Linda Ronstadt I remember from long ago. Perhaps this lady ate her.

Commentators are talking about Wheeler coming in, so you may get your wish.
To: doug from upland
When did Linda Ronstadt become Kathleen Blanco?
To: DrewsDad
I bet Garner sticks with Lidge.Yep. He doesn't want his closer to be walking around with this monkey on his back any longer than possible.
