This morning President Bush met with Jose Manuel Barroso, President of the Commission of the European Communities in the Oval Office at the White House.
This afternoon, the President met with Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff, Cabinet Members and Legislators in the East Room of the White House to sign the Homeland Security Appropriations Act for 2006, which increases border security, and provides more detention facilities and speedier removal of illegal immigrants.
The White House website has provided a Fact Sheet with the details of the Appropriations Act.
Enjoy your trip to Sanity Island on the Daily Dose!!!
I thought Rush played a roll in ousting 41 with his criticism of GHWB, in the first year of GWB 43 he also lost me as a listener with his negativity, but ever since 9/11, Rush has been much more serious and I believe he looks at the big picture much more.
Rush would make a great political adviser for George Allen (our next President)
I know exactly what you mean. It is quite ironic.
You'll notice that there have also been NO reports of John Bolton terrorizing and intimidating the poor souls at the UN, either.
Whoops I mean 1776 don't I LOL. The reason for the confusion in my mind is that we had our Queen's silver Jubilee a year from your 200 anniversary and sometimes I transpose them.
Very positive about first term (Used the word GREATNESS) but said the jury is out on second term
Glad you clarified that, I was trying to figure out what was significant about 1777.
Hey be gentle on me it is late here LOL
Oh, my bad. What was I thinking? ;-)
Lol okay
Condi Rice and Jack Straw will be attending the Alabama-UT football game this sat in Tuscaloosa, where Condi lived from the age of 11 til she left for college. She will be doing the coin toss along with straw. This will be the first time in a while where a SOS takes a foreign dignitary into the heartland for a visit, a very historic event it will be.
oh and i forgot to add, ROLL TIDE!!!!
Prayers for you, that all will be fine.
You are right with your thoughts that Rush hurt Bush 41 in 1992. He was a supporter of that Nutcase Pat Buchanan until after the primary. All the horrible liess that were said about 41 by Buchanan and Ross Perot and Clinton took its toll. That was the first year I listened to Rush and I remember it vividly. I think he distanced himself from Buchanan since.
Hey, he's got milk! lol
I first heard him about 10 years ago. I thought he was the biggest bombastic ass I'd ever heard, and very anti-woman too. I later realized most of that was tongue-in-cheek and self-parody. I do think at times he has had a vein of anti-woman in him, but he's moderated that some.
In the last few years, I've listened to him pretty regularly and like him a lot, and take what he says seriously. But mostly I love to listen to him skewer the pompous buffoons on the left.
Freepers are the best.....thank you both..
Just for the sake of completeness, GO VOLS!!!!
What fun. Jack Straw is going to get a heck of an introduction to the American South and their favorite pastime.
I think the parodies are the best part of the Rush program. He has Paul shanklin do Tom Daschle, and James Carvile,Clinton. They make you LOL.
LOL-- Now snugs, I KNOW you are not THAT old!!
I got the impression from his interview with Sean, that Rush likes George Allen!
Now that is a strange mix the hawk with the former CND supporter
