Sorry I wasn't around to help you back then. Hopefully I can buy you a cold one sometime.

Grab the next GI, Sailor, Airman or Marine you see. Buy it for him/her. They deserve it. They are going though a lot of hell right now. Every good deed helps. Thanks.

I was probably trying to look up Cyndi Willard's skirt in 4th period Geometry class while you were making your "donation" in the Highlands.
I owe you one.

Ive spent the last few years making up for my failure to give my grandfather the respect he deserved. If it weren't for a few of his surviving friends I wouldn't know about his winter in the Ardennes or his acts of heroism.
These days I occasionally stop by the local recruiting office and buy the guys lunch. It's the least I can do.

I was only 16 days old.
However, I truly recognize and sincerely appreciate the sacrifice that you and all our armed forces make on a daily basis.

Thank you for doing that for the recruiters. Those folks are under the gun today. Everyone on their backs. The Pentagon wanting results of recruiting, the liberals trying to keep them away from schools and young people.
This is one time it is never to late to say thank you to those folks. I ride the ferry to work here in Scum City Seattle everyday. Lots of retired military coming to work over here from Kitsap County. Tons of active Navy and Marines in Bremerton, Silverdale, Bangor Sub base, & Key Port. We go to the base to use the PX, commissary, etc. I always tell the troops to keep up the good work, to hold their heads high.
