UPDATE
Possible Detainees In Potential Terrorist Threat

The Associated Press is reporting that federal law enforcement officials have arrested four people on immigration charges at businesses with Middle Eastern connections in the Baltimore area. That law enforcement official wanted to remain anonymous.

The AP also reporting that another arrest was made at the Koko Market in Highlandtown in Baltimore.

Television video shows a man being led out of that market and put into a black SUV. The landlord of that business tells the Associated Press that his tenant has run a store there for seven years.

Baltimore's police commissioner says there have been about a half dozen raids in the City this afternoon.

This all connected to the unspecified terrorist threat made to the Baltimore tunnels.

The Harbor Tunnel and portions of the Fort McHenry Tunnel were shut down Tuesday morning for several hours after the head of the Maryland Transportation Authority Police learned of the threat.

Trucks and SUV's were searched by police and dogs. Orange dump trucks blocked the tunnel entrances which carry Interstate 95 and 895 under water.

The MdTA reopened the tunnels around 1 p.m.

So far it sounds like the owner of the Koko Market, Maged Hussein, is one of the four detained for questioning. You may know someone who lives close to that market by the way.

The plot appears to be that they were going to use a delivery truck loaded with explosives and detonate it in the Harbor Tunnel. One comment the governor said was that he and others were working to deal with, "people that can do great harm with primitive or low-tech means."

Sounds to me like it could have been ANFO (ammonium nitrate/fuel oil). Makes you wonder about the Oklahoma connection if there is any.
