Bottom of 2nd, 1-0 Astro lead, good game with baserunners and a great tag out at the plate by the Cardinal catcher.
I wonder how many St. Louis fans are torn between watching the Cardinals and watching the Rams?
61 pitches for Pettitte and 53 for Carpenter through 3.
Time for an economical inning(for Pettitte, that is).
Through three innings, Carpenter has thrown 53 pitches and Pettitte has thrown 61. At that pace, both will be gone by the 7th.
I think they've given up. They were mouthy on yesterday's thread, nearly absent tonight.
But the Rams are looking good tonight, though Indy is driving (pardon the pun.)
No reason in the world for Red Birds fans to give up. One game at a time.
Vandredrunk misses the FG. Rams (whodathunkit) still pitching a shutout.
And it counts for something that the Yanks lost 4 in a row just last year after being up 3-0.
Pardon my asking, but why are you talking about football on a NLCS thread?
"That idiot kicker" - Peyton Manning.
Because some of us are interested in both.
Will you do the same on the WS threads?
Let's Go B-I-G-G-I-O!!!
Nice catch by Sanders.
They've got to get a clutch hit sometime.
Maybe on Saturday, Sunday, and Thursday games.
Ugh, still 2-1 Cards at the end of the inning. But bread is back.
MNF in the middle of a fumble controversy and replay review.
Oops, not anymore. Ruled dual-possession, so tie goes to the offense, Indy keeps the ball, and now scores. Rams lead 17-7.
Would be nice if Andy could keep them off base for a few innings.
Bulger threw a pick to set up that drive and then hurt his right shoulder trying to get in on the tackle. The Rams will have to go to their backup.
Cardinals get another steal without a throw. So far they are doing all the little things while Houston isn't. So far they deserve to win.
