I don't know which hour this will be featured, but Medved will debate Frum on the Miers nomination.
The show starts NOW (2:00 PM CST), and can be heard at KSKY, 660AM, or streamed through the link above.
Medved will be calm and rational as he always is.
The debate will not be this first hour. The subject is interesting, however: the very unsuccessful Millions More Movement March.
too bad he likes Harriet Souters
You ought to listen. Medved has solid reasons for giving Miers a hearing.
I'm confused .. when did Frum become a bigshot talking head???
Ever since he decided to oppose Bush on this nomination. I've seen him on Hardball, from time to time, but he's very much in demand now as the leader of the effort to get Miers to step down.
"......in the Supreme Court sweepstakes: Keep an eye on Harriet Miers, White House counsel. Miers was the first woman president of the Texas Bar Association, a co-managing partner of a 400-lawyer firm in Texas, a one-time Dallas city councilor, and by the by, the personal lawyer to one George W. Bush. She joined his staff as governor, served as staff secretary (Richard Darman's old job) in the first administration, and now oversees the White House's legal work. She is quiet, discreet, intensely loyal to Bush personally, and - though not ideologically conservative - nonetheless firmly pro-life. Plus she's a woman. Double plus - she'd be a huge surprise, and the president loves springing surprises on Washington and those pundits who think they know it all. -David Frum in a column written July, 2005
I guess Frum could say it's not an endorsement and he knows more about her than he did then but I'm just wondering if he's responded to this yet.
"Medved is simply the best debater in talk radio, and he is in favor of the Miers nomination."
I couldn't agree more. I love his style, and his ability to take any call, even from a moonbat, and treat them with respect while tearing them to pieces.
I wouldn't want to be on the other side of a debate with Mr. Medved.
Ya--Frum's got approx 3600 people to sign his judicial jihad--wow. It's personal for him, it's very odd.
Did she mark up his speeches or something? Send them back to him with a bunch of corrections? (Don't ya hate when that happens!)
Have you read the statement. It was neither pro nor con. I do not know why it wasn't con, especially when he pointed out that she wasn't ideologically conservative. I would be interested to know.
He said that there were probably over 100,000 people there. I watched the event on TV (at least little parts of it). At the time I watched, they were panning around the mall and it looked like a normal saturday crowd.
When the "christians" were speaking, the cheers and clapping were very quiet, I thought it meant there weren't many there, but maybe they just didn't want to cheer them.
I doubt there were 100,000 people there.
Agreed. He however has cited this as a sign of how smart he was that he was the first to mention this was a possibility.
It would be interesting to see why at the time he didn't raise any red flags, given that now he is rabidly against her.
Perhaps he's just angry that he didn't get into the white house betting pool. :-)
If Medved says, "Now focus...like a laser beam" one more time...
Sheesh, for a professional talker, can he please learn to use a few new cliches, or mix them up a bit?
