He who guards his lips guards his life,
but he who speaks rashly will come to ruin.

Heavenly Father,

You are our strong tower. We need Your strength every hour of every day. We live in trying times, and we long for the peace that only You can provide. Help us, Father, to keep our eyes on Jesus, so that we may not be swept away by the thundering tides of uncertainty around us.

We ask You to carry our President’s burden for him. He has been tried and tested beyond measure during the years of his presidency. Thank You for being the source of his strength and wisdom as he works through so many difficult issues and events. We are grateful that he guards his lips, knowing that he is being obedient to you and is responding to Your leading. We ask You to restore him physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually so that he may do the work You have set apart for him. Father, You have called him to serve during this time. We trust in You to provide everything he needs so that he may honor You in all his ways.

Our hearts rejoice with the Iraqi people as they successfully conclude their election. Thank You, Father, that they have been able to experience their own democracy. We pray that those who stand for freedom and liberty would gain in strength and would continue to push toward the day when they can proclaim those ideals for everyone in their country. Father, please aid all in the countries that experienced the horrible earthquake. Our hearts cannot comprehend the devastation and hardship they have endured. We ask You to lift them up from this destruction and establish them in Your love.

Accept our grateful praise for Your daily provision of our military men and women. We pray that they would maintain justice and do what is right in all circumstances. May Your blessing be upon their families who must deal with their absence. Please send messengers of Your Holy Spirit to help them with their needs.

And now, Mighty God, You Who are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ask or think, please help the people of this nation to unite once again in common purpose. Help us to honor You, Father, and to return to Your truths. Endow unto our President and our nation's leaders Your wisdom to know how to respond to these difficult times. Send forth Your Spirit to this nation for we need You, Lord, and we pray always that You would be not far from us, Most High. In the Precious Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Amen and thank you, Faith.

Heavenly and Most Gracious Father, we are grateful for this ministry. We are grateful to have a place to gather and ask in agreement for the needs of this President and his people. Thank You for the blood of Jesus and bold and confident access to Your throne. It is an awesome privilege to come before the Most High, Creator of Heaven and earth and Almighty God as Your children. Thank You, Holy Spirit, for transferring us out of the control and dominion of darkness into the Kingdom of Your Son. Hallelujah!

Father, we glory in You alone for all those people called by Your name serving You in the White House right now. We are grateful for the presence of the Holy Spirit in so many temples. Cause everything that they set their hand to to be a success and command the hand of the Lord against their adversaries. Give them knowledge of the height, depth and breadth of Your love for them. Strengthen, encourage and reproduce the life and nature of Jesus in them more and more each day.

Thank You for loving us and hearing and fulfilling Your word in Your great faithfulness. Amen.

AMEN FAITH AND AMEN ALL!

GRACE TO ALL BRETHREN!

Psalms 36:1
To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David the servant of the LORD. An oracle within my heart concerning the transgression of the wicked: There is no fear of God before his eyes.

Psalms 36:2
For he flatters himself in his own eyes, When he finds out his iniquity and when he hates.

Psalms 36:3
The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit; He has ceased to be wise and to do good.

Psalms 36:4
He devises wickedness on his bed; He sets himself in a way that is not good; He does not abhor evil.

Psalms 36:5
Your mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.

Psalms 36:6
Your righteousness is like the great mountains; Your judgments are a great deep; O LORD, You preserve man and beast.

Psalms 36:7
How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings.

Psalms 36:8
They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house, And You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures.

Psalms 36:9
For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light.

Psalms 36:10
Oh, continue Your lovingkindness to those who know You, And Your righteousness to the upright in heart.

Psalms 36:11
Let not the foot of pride come against me, And let not the hand of the wicked drive me away.

Psalms 36:12
There the workers of iniquity have fallen; They have been cast down and are not able to rise.
(NKJV)

"With thee is the fountain of life."
- Psalm 36:9

There are times in our spiritual experience when human counsel or
sympathy, or religious ordinances, fail to comfort or help us. Why does
our gracious God permit this? Perhaps it is because we have been living
too much without him, and he therefore takes away everything upon which we
have been in the habit of depending, that he may drive us to himself. It
is a blessed thing to live at the fountain head. While our skin- bottles
are full, we are content, like Hagar and Ishmael, to go into the
wilderness; but when those are dry, nothing will serve us but "Thou God
seest me." We are like the prodigal, we love the swine-troughs and forget
our Father's house. Remember, we can make swine-troughs and husks even out
of the forms of religion; they are blessed things, but we may put them in
God's place, and then they are of no value. Anything becomes an idol when
it keeps us away from God: even the brazen serpent is to be despised as
"Nehushtan," if we worship it instead of God. The prodigal was never safer
than when he was driven to his father's bosom, because he could find
sustenance nowhere else. Our Lord favours us with a famine in the land
that it may make us seek after himself the more. The best position for a
Christian is living wholly and directly on God's grace-still abiding where
he stood at first-"Having nothing, and yet possessing all things." Let us
never for a moment think that our standing is in our sanctification, our
mortification, our graces, or our feelings, but know that because Christ
offered a full atonement, therefore we are saved; for we are complete in
him.
Having nothing of our own to trust to, but resting upon the merits of
Jesus-his passion and holy life furnish us with the only sure ground of
confidence.
Beloved, when we are brought to a thirsting condition, we are sure to
turn to the fountain of life with eagerness.

"Silent Contemplation in Prayer

“Silence in prayer is often not something we orchestrate; rather, it is a gift that can come upon us quite unexpectedly. Instead of rushing to fill the gap, we learn to embrace the gift as the better part of our time of prayer.”

Dear Intercessors,

In learning about prayer, silence and contemplation is a special dimension that very few of us have grasped. One of the reasons for this is because we have been influenced by the noise and busyness of our present-day life style. And in the midst of a whirlwind of activity that we have so often misunderstood as important or necessary, we have missed the beauty and necessity of learning the discipline of silence. We so often miss out on the life of contemplation. Today as I sat silently looking out of the window watching the snowflakes fall, I realized afresh how wonderful it is to be quiet before God in silent meditation. I want to encourage you to take time to be silent before God. I do this on a regular basis, and find it to add a wonderful dimension to my prayer life.

The Bible says that we must be still in order to know God. Silence is a necessary art if we want to really know God. It is a gift from God. So if God is quieting down your activity or stopping you in some way right now, perhaps He wants you to learn this most important discipline. God is wooing you to Himself. He is removing all the barriers of true communion with His spirit. This is a gift to you, so embrace it with all your heart. “Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10a).

“In silent contemplation, a supernatural drawing occurs. Having come to the end of words, we simply stare in silence at the person of God. One of the most apt, and most beautiful, descriptions of the essence of contemplation that I have heard comes from a simple farmer: ‘Think of the wonderful description given by that unlettered farm laborer at Ars who used to remain for hours in stillness and silence gazing at the tabernacle and when a man at Ars asked him what he did there, simply replied: I LOOK AT HIM, AND HE LOOKS AT ME.’”

The Benefits of Silence Contemplation in Prayer

“From time to time you will begin to touch the state of inward silence. What shall be your response to such an experience? But what shall you do? Nothing! Simply yield to the inward drawing. Yield to the wooing of your spirit. Your spirit is drawing you deeper within.” Quotes by Wesley and Stacey Campbell

God fights on our behalf when we are silent - “You and I are very weak. If you, in your weakness, attempt to attack your enemies, you will often find yourself wounded. There is another way. In times of temptation and distraction, remain by faith in the simple presence of Jesus Christ. You will find an immediate supply of strength.” “The Lord will fight for you while you keep silent” (Exodus 14:14).

We find God in a deeper dimension - In silent prayer, we develop the art of looking at God. “’You will seek me and find me when you seek for me with all your heart. I will be found by you,’ declares the Lord” (Jeremiah 29:13-14).

We grow in the art of meditating on Scripture - Exodus 34:6-7 is filled with the divine attributes of God. I encourage you to meditate on these two verses for a long period of time. ”And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, ‘The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love to thousands and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin” (Exodus 34:6-7a).

We learn to shut out external activity - We learn the art of external simplicity and inwardly learn to dwell in God’s presence. “One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to meditate in His temple (Psalm 27:4).

We learn to meditate on God’s nature - It is good to start with meditating on one aspect of God’s nature in a single verse of Scripture. For example, meditate on God’s holiness adorning His house for endless days as found in the following verse: “Your statutes stand firm; holiness adorns your house for endless days, O Lord” (Psalm 93:5).

We grow in our love relationship with God - “What we are really after is the ability to live out the first commandment - namely to love the God who loved us first, with all the passion and strength we possess. Therefore, words become unnecessary when their purpose has been fulfilled. ”At the deepest personal level possible, an interchange of love is occurring. And although contemplation usually starts with a person pouring out his or her emotions for God, often one is swept up into a realm where one is overtaken by feelings from God.”
I pray that each one of us will learn the secret of silent contemplation. This is where we take the time to commune with God heart to heart and spirit to spirit. It will not happen by chance, but we must give time for this and understand its’ value. Early Sunday mornings I attend a prayer meeting where often there is some time spent in silence before God. This is a rich time of heart to heart communion with God. I am challenged by St. Francis and his example of silent contemplation before God. “With face turned to heaven, and hands and eyes lifted to God, in complete surrender and with the warmest of devotion, he prayed, saying: ‘My god, my All’ These words he groaned out to God, with copious tears again and again with solemn devotion until dawn: ‘My God, my All’ - and no more.”

“Know that the Lord has set apart the godly for himself; the Lord will hear when I call to him . . . when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent. Offer right sacrifices and trust in the Lord . . . Let the light of your face shine upon us, O Lord. You have filled my heart with greater joy than when their grain and new wine abounds.” Psalm 4:3-7

Together in the Harvest,

"My Lord , I love You and my heart

thrills at the thought that You love

me. A Holy, Majestic, Omnipotent

God loves me! If only I would keep

this truth in my mind nothing else

would matter. I would be able to

love others and if they did not return

that love it would matter little for

I would never feel lonely; my own

heart would be filled to overflowing

with infinite Love. If I never forgot

Your Love for me I would never fear

the future or failure for I would live

in You and Your Love would be my

eternal success. My heart would always

sing the songs of lovers and my mind be

filled with noble thoughts. My life would

have purpose and death would be only the

meeting place of separated lovers. Ah, yes,

my Lord, if only I would remember Your

infinite Love for me -- little me -- I would

have strength to climb the highest mountain

and courage to travel the most raging sea.

"The Lords Prayer
This section of the Sermon on the Mount contains the Lord's prayer, and instructions on giving and fasting.

Giving
Beware of practicing your righteousness before men to be noticed by them; otherwise you have no reward with your Father who is in heaven.
So when you give to the poor, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be honored by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full.
But when you give to the poor, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving will be in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.

Pray in secret
When you pray, you are not to be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners so that they may be seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full.
But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.
And when you are praying, do not use meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they suppose that they will be heard for their many words. So do not be like them; for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.

The Lord's Prayer
Pray, then, in this way:

Our Father who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom
and the power
and the glory forever.
Amen.

For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.

Fasting
Whenever you fast, do not put on a gloomy face as the hypocrites do, for they neglect their appearance so that they will be noticed by men when they are fasting. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full.
But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face so that your fasting will not be noticed by men, but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.

"When the Lord of Love was here,
Happy hearts to Him were dear,
Though His heart was sad;
Worn and lonesome for our sake,
Yet he turned aside to make
All the weary glad.

Meek and lowly were His ways,
From His loving grew His praise,
From His giving, prayer;
All the outcast thronged to hear,
All the sorrowful drew near
To enjoy His care.

When he walked the fields, He drew
From the flowers and birds and dew
Parables of God;
For within His heart of love
All the soul of man did move,
God had His abode.

Lord, be ours Thy power to keep
In the very heart of grief,
And in trial, love;
In our meekness to be wise,
And through sorrows to arise
To our God above.

Fill us with Thy deep desire
All the sinful to inspire
With the Father’s life;
Free us from the cares that press
On the heart of worldliness
From the fret and strife.

And, when in the fields and woods
Were are filled with Nature’s moods,
May the grace be given
With Thy faithful heart to say,
“All I see and feel today
Is my Father’s Heaven.”

"May the Sacred Heart of Jesus be adored, glorified, loved and preserved throughout the world now and forever Amen."

We pray humbly for our President Bush, his administration. Grant them peace of mind to be able to withstand the various insinuations cast against them.. May the Media be confounded in all endeavors of trying to demoralize our troops serving throughout the world. The success gained by the citizens of Iraq, thanks to our service people that made it possible. We pray for their families, who understand what freedom is all about, selfishly they gave of their son's and spouses to bring it all about..In Jesus' name we pray for all.
