Click on the below link, have your video sound up, and click on Bush Library. It is WHY we want President Bush and Laura Bush to pick West Texas for the Bush Library. We are in the running. SMU, University of Texas at Irving, Baylor and Texas Tech. Tech being the only state school in the bids. Keeping our fingers crossed. Watch the presentation, it is why we love W. and Laura, from people who know them.

As I stated in a similar thread, "Sic 'em Bears".
Class of 1987
Did you watch the video? It was done quickly, and we really did not think we would have a chance but I think we have an excellent chance. Laura and President Bush have the final say so. Many of the people in the video are great friends of the Bush Family. The last couple at the end are their dear friends and I know W and he will go with those he respects. It is about 3-4 minutes long but so well worth the time.
Catchy headline.
Baylor would be my next pick, and by the wayt Bear, I am glad your doing well this year in football. See you on October 29th.
Root with us this coming weekend against ut.
Select: "Bush Library Video Presentation" from video list
Baylor looked Ok this weekend even with a Husker on the officiating staff....
?
I do not know how to change the title.
I should have said.. Who is Texas, will get the Bush Library.
"Did you watch the video?"
Yes, and they did an excellent job considering they only had about a month to work on it. It's actually over 8min long, but it doesn't seem like it. Hope they get the nod!
It is something like that. I don't think it is UT affilated.
Don't mind me. I'm just a fan of sarcasm. Didn't mean it towards you, there just isn't a story until the decision is made.
Isn't UT Austin still in the running? My money's on SMU.
University of Texas at Irving
University Of Dallas . It's a Catholic University.
Sorry, but Texas Tech's odds are very low, their inclusion was probably just a political nicety and a nod to their well done marketing efforts and zeal. That isn't a knock on Tech, but a reflection of the realities. He wants a think tank to go along with the library, and Lubbock being relatively too small and too far away hurts them some in that regard. Also a drawback for Waco, but less so because it is only 1.5 hours from Dallas (or Austin), just as College Station is a similar distance from Houston. Another factor is that most of the visitors will be tourists, and again Lubbock is well off the beaten path. That's one of the strongest points for the University of Dallas (it isn't UT-Irving, but rather a small private school, Catholic-affiliated IIRC), which has lots of land and in a few years be a stop on the expanding light-rail system that will run to DFW airport.
So I'd rank them:
1) SMU
2) UD
3) Baylor
4) Texas Tech
However, if the President and Laura are thinking about moving back to Midland (or even Lubbock), then of course that changes everything. But if they are going to get a home in Dallas, then TT is out.
Midland should get it. No doubt about it!!
How about Nuevo laredo?
That's a good place for the Bush library.
Midland, Amarillo, San Angelo, Abilene are all with Lubbock on this. Midland will have the Laura Bush Building.
Did you not watch the video?
