"Tell Mom and Dad to save the money they are spending on her education and put her to work at the Chicken ranch."

with a birth control implant, 'cause she's not gonna remember any other protection, either.

I was prepared to be sympathetic and understanding at least about the possibility that she was "hurt, upset, and afraid" having known one person who didn't know she was pregnant until she went into labor, and the ER docs told her what was going on. This story just knocked that in the head.

Wow, this is just *damning*. I don't like to rush to judgment about these stories because sometimes a birth can just go wrong, but... This just makes me ill.

How can you be sympathetic to a selfish murderer who has certainly left one child to die and probably two?

Just incredibly sad.

^^
Just incredibly evil. To throw away a child like a soiled tissue....

I think it's sad that a young person can be so isolated that she could do this twice with no intervention from a caring friend, relative, or professional social worker.

**
More importantly, with no intervention from the criminal justice system.

I think you have it just about right. Too bad the USC student in question wasn't around for the counseling, but then it doesn't sound like she would have been interested. Wonder how many more before she hits bottom?

"But where were her family, friends, University counselors, and our social workers last year?"

Especially thinking that USC is an expensive school. She learned lots of things in school except personal resposibility.

Why don't you go back and actually READ my post, and answer your own question?

Just going by my experience, but it seemed the architecture students weren't the brightest bulbs...and it seemed that many would augment their creativity by illegal chemical means, and generally seem to have some real problems.

They did, however, seem to work long hours. Maybe Miss Ashcraft is giving an answer what those long hours were spent on, though.

I'm curious if they had any reason to link this baby's body to her, other than the previous incident and location.

Since she is from Montana, I would have thought would know how to keep her knees together. One of the first things ski instructors emphasise.

I was being rhetorical when I asked the question (perhaps it didn't come across that way), I realized that you had no sympathy for this woman.

The rhetorical question truly did not arrive. Sorry if I snapped at you about it. I could have had sympathy for her, under radically different circumstances. Maybe I was feeling a little guilty about it? Anyway, my apologies.
