Good grief. Prayers for all their families.

2 A.M., I figured it was a sleepy driver/head on crash, but it says it was a rear end crash. Odd.

O-M-G! Prayers to the families.

Jr. M got in late last night from a band contest too. I was worried as any parent would be when their kids are away. Jr. M is a mid-schooler but was asked to be in the hs band for all the marching contests around the state this month. BTW, they won it all - FIRST PLACE!

Some typed "Bush Crash" as one of the key words for this story. Scroll up. LOL. Make that, er, "Bus Crash".

I wonder if this bus was equipped with seat belts. They usually aren't, and they are not required by Wisconsin law. School busses without seat belts are not safe, no matter what BS is used to convince people and legislatore otherwise.

On the right-hand side of the page is a video link about the news here. It was shown after 8:00 this morning.

Tearful prayers up...

OMG! My two sons graduated from Chippewa Falls HS in the late '90s. We've since moved away so I doubt I'd know any of the kids. Doesn't matter. I'm still crying. Chippewa Falls is a great little town. I'd move back there in a second. This is so sad.

It appears that none of the dead were HS students. The 78 year-old bus driver was killed along with adults aged 24, 48, and 51. An 11 year-old girl was also killed. Most likely the adults were chaperones and undoubetedly, one of the chaperones brought along their 11 year-old.

Very tragic for all concerned.

It would appear that the truck was operating with a suspended license.

Wednesday update: They can't find the truck driver.

The tractor-trailer driver involved in Sunday’s deadly crash near Osseo, WI is missing.

Michael Kozlowski has not been seen since investigators questioned and released him.

Kozlowski’s family members have not heard from him, and they are worried. “We have been trying to reach him, and we haven’t been able to,” says one family member.

5 EYEWITNESS NEWS traveled to Kozlowski’s hometown of Munster, IN in search of Kozlowski. His driving record indicates an address in Highland, but those neighbors have never heard of him.

Wisconsin officials say he was returned to Indiana by his employer, Whole Foods. The company declined to comment on questions surrounding his whereabouts.

Investigators would like to re-interview Kozlowski later this week in connection with the crash. Any possible charges would not be filed until the investigation into the accident is complete.
