By the way - outside groups are influencing my and your towns every single minute of every day, with tax laws, hiring requirements, education requirements etc etc. Can I trade that influence for a couple of jokers having a parade down my street - please? Just because I don't like it does not give me the right to riot.
The rally was legal. The rioting was illegal - on numerous points. Excuse making won't fix it.
There certainly is more to this story. Let's hope all crimes and conspiracies are thoroughly investigated.
Hey - come to think of it - when I lived in LA a group from outside my neighborhood did come through to "clean it up" and rob every store they could get into. Thanks for reminding me. As I remember it - they did not have a permit, and I didn't like it. Is that the type of group you are thinking of?

The SC said that if a march etc is going to cause civil unrest that the local government has the right to deny a permit. There has to be common sense if outside forces are trying to cause a war on your turf.

"Hate" speech is not evenly defined. There are those on the left who say minorities cannot be racist because they don't have the power structure to keep anyone down.
They know very well that even pedophiles have a right to march. Their intent is to introduce legislation that limits the activities and speech of those with whom they disagree. They urged this looting and violence with precisely the intention of stopping public demonstrations from all but the "chosen few". If I had to bet my dog's life on who is behind this, I would go with the homo-militants.

Police are seen in a stand off with an unrully group of prosestors, Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005, in Toledo, Ohio, where violence erupted between police and local protestors. A crowd that gathered to protest a planned march Saturday by a white supremacist group turned violent, throwing baseball-sized rocks at police and vandalizing vehicles and stores, including setting a bar on fire.

Opposition to Neo-Nazi March in Toledo
On Saturday October 15th, the National Socialist Movement - better known as America's Nazi Party - has announced that they will be marching through North Toledo to "protest black crime." The march route they have chosen takes them directly through a predominantly African-American and Polish community, where residents are preparing to oppose these fascists.
Anti-fascists from the Midwest are planning to join local residents in protesting against this neo-Nazi invasion of a Toldeo neighborhood. A counter-demonstration has been called for 8:30AM at Manhattan Plaza (near Manhattan and Stickney Avenues in the North End). Local anti-fas have received word that they will be joined by members of Anti-Racist Action and other organizations from all over the country.
Organizers of "Erase the Hate", a collaborative effort of 20 area educational, religious, and community organizations, are hoping for public support for their event--a counter-rally some distance for the neo-nazi march. It will be held at noon on Oct. 15 at the Zablocki Senior Center on Lagrange Street.
While it may appear that the NSM is just a fringe group, and that it is not worthwhile to oppose such a group, it is important to note that there is currently a power vacuum in the white power movement. With Matt Hale, the leader of the World Church of the Creator in jail, and the death of William Pierce, the founder and head of the National Alliance, other fascists are feeling lost without any strong leadership. Other white power organizations like the NSM realize that this power vacuum exists and are attempting to fill it. It is for this reason that the NSM will attract fascists of all stripes – in numbers – to their demonstration in Toledo. Neo-Nazis are currently seeking organization, structure, and public organizing – all of which they will be looking to the NSM for on October 15th.
For this reason alone, it is important that anti-fascists show opposition in Toledo. This is not a time that we can we can sit back and ignore the organizing fascists are currently engaging in. We CANNOT give the neo-Nazis any room to organize and recruit. We must not allow the existing power vacuum to be filled. We must be there on October 15th in Toledo to take away any illusion of organization and power the NSM is trying to present. We must stand up and join together, sending a clear message that such activity is not welcome in our communities.

You're right - I have no idea what's going on - rioting is good, drawing attention to it is bad. Louis Farrakhan is a national hero, only misguided Nazis are bad.
The SC is not and has not been involved in this ever. The rally had a permit. The permit was legal. End of argument.
You are making excuses for rioters. I believe that society needs to stop accepting this behaviour.
And after arrests are made, do you expect the justice Reginald Denny's attackers got? The law and societal expectations need to be color blind. No excuses.
The Nazis are saying the indy groups (communists) gave the egss and stuff to the black yutes, which started the mayhem.
