Who says he was a homosexual prostitute? Gay men are easy marks for robbery, especially gay, effeminate, British, has-been pop stars.
It is a well-known risk in the gay community that the "gay prostitute" one brings home might very well be a common thug looking for someone easy to rob and who won't likely report the crime to police. It is called "rolling fags" and has been going on for ages.

It's really not terribly complicated. I don't have a 'concern' so much as a feeling of amusement that a truly disgusting individual's scandal is worsening by the moment, and considering the excessive coverage that had been given to his drug bust, it will be interesting (to some of us) whether the MSM will give a similar amount of coverage to last night's male prostitute angle. The news here is not that 'he is gay' as you say, but that this involves a male prostitute which, last time I checked, was an illegal job description. This further magnifies the level of the scandal and also magnifies the level of glee felt by those of use who have really despised him for the past 20 or more years.. A pretty straightforward thing here, and of course if you don't consider the matter worth your time you are of course entirely welcome to spend your time elsewhere. Not every thread is going to appeal to everyone, nor should it.
Could you possibly make a funny scandal sound more boring? Like Greenspan writing the gossip page.
Well then I guess that all of the papers which were last night reporting this as a "breaking" news item and a new element to the story were not reading the papers that you were. You could do them a favor by sending them links to your news sources....I'm sure that they would be very appreciative.

Agreed...I wasn't shocked at all, because I'm sure that something like this is only the tip of the iceberg as far as the levels of perversion that he's been involved with. It is also pathetic in that it illustrates how breathtakingly unintelligent he is. Hopefully he and Michael Jackson will share a cell for the next 40 years and we won't have to look at their pictures in the papers anymore.

Not being someone who has gone out of his way to be around homosexuals and learn about their fine 'culture', this term is a new one for me and I'm sure that it will also be for the millions of women who were 12 and 14 years old during the '80's and buying Culture Club records. When scandals hit a celebrity, even when it's a hideous, perverted, has-been celebrity, it still makes news even if it's been 'going on for ages' among people who aren't celebrities.

I just hate to see a perfectly good celebrity scandal go to waste.
I don't think they'll ignore because they want to be nice to gays. They ignore it because: a - Boy George is OLD news (the 80s ended a long time ago), b - he just finished with his trial from some other bust so this would be pretty redundant, c - there's lots of other more interesting news going on right now.
I doubt seriously anybody that bought CC records in the 80s would give much of a crap, everybody knew he was gay then, and of course if those buyers then turned out OK now inspite of listening to really bad music by a really lame homo there's really not much reason for them to be concerned about their kids music.

Something tells me that this is going to get even worse.
