An election for every American [WND editor calls for prayer, fasting for Judge Moore victory]

Just because there is no 2008 presidential candidate you're excited about, doesn't mean you can't be involved in politics.

Just because there is no congressional candidate you can support in 2006, doesn't mean you can't be involved in politics.

Just because there are so few righteous men and women running for office in America today, doesn't mean you are supposed to sit at home and drop out.

In fact, it's more important than ever that Americans who revere the Constitution and who understand the moral crisis we face get involved in politics.

Who? What? When? Where? Why? How?

One important election in which we can all play a part is the 2006 Alabama governor's race.

Judge Roy Moore, the former state Supreme Court chief justice, is challenging Republican incumbent Bob Riley. You can rest assured the entire Republican establishment will side with Riley. You can bet President Bush will pull out all the stops for him. You can expect the Karl Rove machine to gear up to stop Moore. And, of course, you can expect the American Civil Liberties Union, to continue to make him public enemy No. 1.

But none of that will matter if you take my advice.

If every American reading this column today – or the millions who read it later as it is e-mailed to friends and relatives around the country – contributes a mere $10 to the campaign of Judge Roy Moore, he will win and win big in Alabama.

And his victory in Alabama will show the establishment Republicans we mean business. His victory will show that Americans believe in principle over party. His victory will lead the way to more wins in other states by other righteous men who are unafraid to articulate the same godly and moral vision that made this country great.

But we must do everything in our power to ensure Moore's victory.

It's not just about money, either.

I believe prayer will play an equally large role in this campaign.

Will you commit to pray every day for Judge Roy Moore's victory in Alabama?

Do you believe that will have good results?

I do.

It's time to roll up our sleeves and get serious about "Taking America Back," and I believe the Judge Roy Moore race in Alabama can be a watershed event next year.

There may not be enough moral, discerning Americans to elect the next president of the United States – or even to ensure that we have one worthy candidate on the ballot. But I have every confidence that millions of Americans can successfully counter the efforts of the national Republican establishment, which will be pulling out all the stops in an effort to deny Judge Roy Moore the Alabama governorship.

And if we are successful, you can count on Judge Roy Moore not to buckle, not to equivocate, not to cave in to the pressure of the elitists, not to capitulate to the whims of federal judges, not to forget that an elected official's duty is to the will of the people and the rule of law.

We have a year to make this happen.

Some of us can move to Alabama in that time period.

Some of us can volunteer our time to help his campaign on the ground.

All of us can forward this column to everyone we know as a call to action.

All of us can read Judge Roy Moore's provocative and inspiration book, "So Help Me God," and pass it on to others.

All of us can make sacrificial contributions to Judge Roy Moore's campaign.

And all of us can commit to prayer and fasting for his historic victory in Alabama.

I don't see how he could be worse than Bob "raise your taxes even higher" Riley.

I would have agreed with you at the time he tried to raise the taxes. He seems to have been okay after that. BTW, I have a vote since I live in Huntsville.
