Knowing ALL this ... WHY is the Catholic church allowing them as priests? Does anyone else see a conflict here with the Bible and what they are really all about?

Whatever. Around half the murders in New York City are drug-trade related, most of the rest (around a third of the total) are women killed by men in domestic disputes. About 15% are killed by strangers. 4% of all murders are of men killed by an "intimate partner" - that presumably includes whether by a female or male partner. Anyone who would say that homosexuals account for over half of urban homicides is an idiot.

PS. So far as I'm concerned, anyone who would quote as credible anyone else saying that over half of urban homicides are committed by homosexuals is also an idiot.

Homosexuals aren't discriminated against in employment, so why should they be a protected class? * The average yearly income of a homosexual is $55,430.00 (most of which is disposable because no children to take care of!). The average of the general population is $32,144.00. The average of blacks is $12,166.00 (24) * 59.6% of homosexuals are college graduates. 18.0% of the general population are college graduates (24). Too bad they aren't smart enough to listen to God. "Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools" (Romans 1:22) * 49.0% of homosexuals hold professional/managerial positions. 15.9% of the general population hold such positions (24). Where's the job discrimination?

They are smarter than the average joe. Intelligence and homoeroticism are correlated. Therefore, to protect the moral fiber of society, we should insist on making people less intelligent. No guarantee at the level of individual decisions, but statistically speaking we would reduce the rate of homosexual thoughts and acts. Of course, we would have to do with fewer Wittgensteins, Turings, Nashes, Whitmans, de Vincis, etc., etc. (isn't this boring?), but think of the aesthetic gains!

Thoughtless posts like yours by contrast make Sinkspur’s knee-jerk Republicanism a welcome and refreshing relief.

well, according to the fbi stats, one of the key indicators of a serial killer is homosexuality or issues related to it. one of their chief guys wrote a book about it a few years back, its probably now banned as being hate speech. there were some ten major indicators they look for and if i recall correctly, the misundstood one had to have at least six of these to be a serial killer.

exton, your argument is specious at best. if none of those artists would have been born, a different human would have taken their place. now if you think differently, remember that everyone is replaceable on the macro level. btw, how do you feel about abortion and the thousands of geniuses that have been murdered before being allowed to fulfill their potential? do we miss their work? i think not.

good comeback. in all reality, i think its safe to say that drugs do acct or are involved in most of the murders in this country, fair? article makes it obvious that gays are into drugs much more than others. argument with that, read the article. i was using serial killers as an example of a worldview that could possibly have some bearing on gay behaviors. if you come back and say that alot of murders are husbands killing wives, that too is fair, but you have to acknoweldge the sexual angle in that too.

Anyway, luckily most of us do not have a clue about what we are talking about. So this thread is just an exercise in entropy.

I think I'll leave now and go to my physical therapy. My therapist, by the way, is way hot. I'll accept the responsibility to replace one of the promiscuous homos we've aborted. Might have some fun too. Who knows?

If you want a serious discussion - "in all reality" - then it is safe to say that most statistics such as the above are contrived. Here's how:

It's difficult to get a precise measure of the percentage of "homosexuals"; this is because definitions vary (is it based on activity? is it based on self-description? etc) and because self-reporting on surveys is unreliable. Therefore, various credible surveys have produced figures ranging from 2%- to 6%+.

Now, say you survey 100 Hepatitis B patients and you come up with 4 that report themselves as homosexual. OK, then you want to figure out how this compares to the general population. How do you do that? Do you take the study that says 2% of the general population is homosexual, or the study that says 4%, or the study that says 6%?

In the first case, you come up with homosexuals are 100% more likely to contract Hep B. In the second, homosexuals are equally likely to contract Hep B as anyone. And, in the third, homosexuals are 33% less likely to contract Hep B.

And so it goes. Much of this is dubious propaganda. If it makes you happy though, run with it. No biggie to me either way!
