>> I trust the president I trusted the President.....
- To stick to his guns and NOT sign McCain-Feingold, which illegally removes Constitutional rights -- BTW, violating his presidential oath to "preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution." (He signed.)
- To stick to his word about not signing a quarter-TRILLION dollar, pork-laden highway bill that went over the monetary limits. (He signed.)
- To not sign a law ensuring that my grandchildren will still be paying for Medicare prescription drugs. (He signed.)
- To secure our national borders -- the most common-sense action to be taken to prevent entry of foreigners intent on doing harm to our citizenry. (He has done NOTHING.)
- To adhere to the idea that smaller government is better government. (Government has bloated beyond belief under his watch.)
I voted for W twice. I'd probably vote for him again, under the same circumstances as today. I supported the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and I believe in those as necessary actions in the war on terror. But I am through with "trusting" him. This boneheaded SCOTUS nomination defies explanation, even a KarlRoveian explanation.
