Oh sure, foreign kids to Ghetto schools.

"A foreigner shall not become a member of an American High School team." - Let me guess? This is an amendment to the Constitution, right? Or at least a ruling of the Supreme Court? No? Oh, this is just your racist view, or what?

Sorry, I´m myself a foreigner, and I see no reason why a Mexican kid who regulary visits an American High School shall not play in that school-team. And I get pretty angry when reading those posts like yours.

No doubt, illegal immigration must be stopped. But there´s no indication that this guy was an illegal alien.

"Soccer doesn't kill anyone. Balls kill.

BAN ALL BALLS"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Congressional Republicans will not be effected.
"It’s still not clear what killed Valle-Victorino, but an opposing player trying to score kicked the ball, striking him in the neck."
Years ago my parents made me quit playing HS football and switch to soccer to avoid the risk of injuries my dad had endured - playing both ways at the Univ. Of Wisconsin. He lost 1/4 of his teeth and one knee.
The injury prevention idea didn't pan out. I played goalie. I was knocked out once after a kicked ball struck me square in the face. I had my bottom team knocked loose from a kicked ball. I had three vertebrae broken when an opponent tried to kick the ball after I had made a save and struck me in the back with his kicking foot.
Soccer is a high-speed, high-force contact sport. The pros have gotten good at acting, but anyone putting their kids in soccer thinking it is kinder and gentler don't understand the game.
I don't like Soccer but I agree it is probably more dangerous than football.
All that kicking basically using the most powerful muscles in the body and it is bound to some times result in serious injury.
how does the questions of his race and flying of the flags even come into the conversation? The poor kid died, have some respect.
I don't care where hes from or if he was illegal or not, thats another issue.
Too true. Two weeks ago our high-school varsity goalie was kicked in the face while diving to the ball. Two broken cheekbones, broken nose, broken jaw, 1 lost tooth. Our kids come home from their soccer games with assorted bruises and muscle pulls, but they love it. Are we going to tell them to stop playing? No.
Well we certainly let them into our armed forces.
Not all Mexican born people have no legal business being here.
It's too bad to see. There's risk involved in every sport. We all know that when we sign up(In my case, football).
And can the posters here cut the immigration bullshit here, especially since there's no indication he's illegal. Have some respect.
Well, I don't think it's "racist" to require the beneficiaries of MY tax dollars to be citizens of MY country (foreign aid is a separate question).
Here come the helmet laws. It was proposed in NY last year that all soccer players wear them. If it saves one life it's worth the inconvience of a million other soccer players. Plus the government just bought stock in helmet companies.
Well, -I- didn't bring it up. Why did the article go to the trouble of stating the Mexican flag bit, without telling why?
Good grief... how many "Fifth Third Bank" branches are there?
Are they sure it's not the "Third Fifth Bank"???
Or maybe the "Seventh Fourth Bank"???
Side bar..
Actually, correct me if I'm wrong but I think that first statment WAS correct. A while back, someone on FR informed me the flag should only be flown half mast by presidential order (national day of mourning, etc).
Is that correct?
Only if you're over water. Flags over land fly at half-staff.
According to flag etiquette, the national standard flies at half-staff upon the death of a past or present President of Vice-President or upon Presidential proclamation.
