Too close to call, IMHO. I can't tell if it hit the ground or not. It looks like a matter of less than a quarter of an inch one way or the other.

The Angels were flat out ROBBED tonight. I'm a baseball purist and I hate it when this crap happens in the game.
The catcher knew. It would have been an easy throw to first if he didn't catch the ball.
I agree and it kinda (not quite ) evens the score for the Yankee-Cano thing the other night.
It's easy to tell on these kinds of plays because you see the dirt & dust rising up (even if just a little) when the ball hits the dirt. There wasn't any because the glove was inbetween. The ump called him out and then seemed to back off for some peculiar reason.
